Everything began immediately after the Second World War when AGV started out as a manufacturer of leather seats
and bicycle saddles. But it was in 1947 that Mr. Gino Amisano, the historical founder, took an important step and
entered into the world of motorcycle helmets, thus beginning unprecedented commercial success together with the
chance to take part in sporting competitions.
In the early 50s AGV produced the first 100% fiberglass open-face helmet. Few years later, taking advantage of the
experience acquired in creating a special helmet to run the flying start kilometre on skis, AGV developed the first
fiberglass full-face helmet.
Since the beginning, AGV’s history has been directly linked to the one of riders who have made the motorcycle
history: Giacomo Agostini, Barry Sheene, Kenny Roberts, Johnny Ceccotto, Angel Nieto, Marco Lucchinelli, Franco
Uncini, Fausto Gresini, Niki Lauda, Nelson Piquet, Emerson Fittipaldi, Randy Mamola, Loris Capirossi, Max Biaggi,
Luca Cadalora and many others. In 1988 AGV completed its range of products with the acquisition of MDS, a brand
that in very short time emerged by virtue of its versatility.

Tutto ebbe inizio immediatamente dopo la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, quando AGV cominciò la sua attività come
azienda produttrice di selle in cuoio e sellini per biciclette. Ma fu nel 1947 che lo storico fondatore, il Sig. Gino
Amisano, entrò a gran voce nel mondo delle 2 ruote riscuotendo fin dagli esordi un successo che diede all’azienda la
possibilità di avvicinarsi alle competizioni sportive.
Già agli inizi degli anni 50 AGV si propose sul mercato con il primo casco a scodella completamente in fibra. Pochi
anni dopo, grazie all’esperienza acquisita nella progettazione di un casco utilizzato per il chilometro lanciato sugli
sci, si giunse alla produzione del primo casco integrale da moto.
Nel corso degli anni sono moltissimi i piloti che, correndo in tutte le categorie delle competizioni motoristiche,
decidono di legare il proprio nome al marchio piemontese: Giacomo Agostini, Barry Sheene, Kenny Roberts, Johnny
Ceccotto, Angel Nieto, Marco Lucchinelli, Franco Uncini, Fausto Gresini, Niki Lauda, Nelson Piquet, Emerson
Fittipaldi, Randy Mamola, Loris Capirossi, Max Biaggi, Luca Cadalora e molti altri. Nel 1988 viene acquisito il
marchio MDS che in pochissimo tempo si afferma per la sua versatilità di impiego.

Todo inició enseguida después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, cuando AGV comenzó su actividad como empresa
productora de asientos de cuero y sillines para bicicletas. Pero fue en 1947 que el histórico fundador, el Sr. Gino
Amisano, entró de manera preponderante en el mundo de las 2 ruedas cosechando desde el exordio un éxito que
proporcionó a la empresa la posibilidad de acercarse a las competiciones deportivas.
Ya a principios de la década de 1950 AGV se propuso en el mercado con el primer casco abierto completamente
de fibra. Pocos años más tarde, gracias a la experiencia adquirida en el proyecto de un casco utilizado en las
competencias de esquí kilómetro lanzado, se llegó a la producción del primer casco integral para moto.
En el transcurso de los años, numerosos pilotos, corriendo en todas las categorías de las competiciones de motor,
decidieron unir su propio nombre a la marca piamontesa: Giacomo Agostini, Barry Sheene, Kenny Roberts, Johnny
Fittipaldi, Randy Mamola, Loris Capirossi, Max Biaggi, Luca Cadalora y muchos otros. En 1988 fue adquirida la
marca MDS que en muy poco tiempo se impuso por su versatilidad de uso.

Tout commence immédiatement après la seconde guerre mondiale, quand AGV débute son activité de production de
selles en cuir et de selles pour vélos. Mais c’est en 1947 que le fondateur historique, Gino Amisano, fait une entrée
très remarquée dans le monde des deux roues et connait dès ses débuts un succès qui permet à l’entreprise de se
rapprocher des compétitions sportives.
Dès le début des années 50, AGV met sur le marché le premier casque bol entièrement fabriqué en fibre. Quelques
années après, grâce à l’expérience acquise en travaillant sur un projet de casque utilisé pour le kilomètre lancé en
ski, l’entreprise parvient à produire le premier casque intégral de moto.
Au fil des années, de très nombreux pilotes de toutes catégories participant aux courses de moto décident d’unir
leur nom à la marque piémontaise: Giacomo Agostini, Barry Sheene, Kenny Roberts, Johnny Ceccotto, Angel Nieto,
Marco Lucchinelli, Franco Uncini, Fausto Gresini, Niki Lauda, Nelson Piquet, Emerson Fittipaldi, Randy Mamola,
Loris Capirossi, Max Biaggi, Luca Cadalora et bien d’autres encore. En 1988, AGV rachète la marque MDS qui montre
en très peu de temps toute l’étendue de sa polyvalence.

Das Ganze nahm unmittelbar nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg seine Anfänge, als AGV ihre Tätigkeit mit der Herstellung
von Leder- und Fahrradsatteln begann. Doch erst im Jahr 1947, als der historische Gründer, Herr Gino Amisano,
mit Nachdruck die Zweiradwelt betrat und von Anfang an Erfolge einkassierte, bot sich dem Unternehmen die
Möglichkeit, sich den Sportwettbewerben zu nähern.
Bereits zu Beginn der 50er Jahre stellte sich AGV dem Markt mit ihrem ersten vollständig aus Fasern hergestellten
Schüsselhelm. Und nur wenige Jahre später kam dank der bei der Entwicklung eines Helmes für das KilometerSkispringen gewonnenen Erfahrung die Produktion des ersten Integralhelmes für Motorräder in Gang.
Im Verlauf der Jahre entscheiden sich zahlreiche Motorradpiloten aus sämtlichen Wettbewerbskategorien zur
Bindung ihres Namens an die piemontesische Marke: Giacomo Agostini, Barry Sheene, Kenny Roberts, Johnny
Fittipaldi, Randy Mamola, Loris Capirossi, Max Biaggi, Luca Cadalora und viele andere. Im Jahr 1988 wird die Marke
MDS erworben, die sich innerhalb kürzester Zeit aufgrund ihrer vielseitigen Verwendungsmöglichkeiten behauptet.

In 1977 AGV, which had been always investing
to reach the highest safety standards, decided
to commit itself to the “Clinica Mobile” project
by sustaining all costs for the first structure, a
facility to provide emergency care to the riders
that have suffered injuries during races. This
partnership is still alive today.

di realizzazione della prima Clinica Mobile,
una struttura in grado di dare le prime cure di
emergenza a tutti quei piloti coinvolti in incidenti
durante le gare. Questa collaborazione continua
ancora oggi.

En 1977, AGV décide de contribuer à un projet
visant à réaliser la première unité de soins
mobile, une structure capable d’administrer
les premiers soins à tous les pilotes victimes
d’accidents pendant les courses. Cette
collaboration contenue encore aujourd’hui.

This system is managed digitally at every stage;
we begin with hand sketches (1) and realistic
photographic renderings (2), which after a
digital mock-up stage (3-4) (C.A.I.D. - Computer
Aided Industrial Design) and mechanical design
(5) (C.A.D. - Computer Aided Design) become
3D files that can be used to generate a virtual
environment. This is made available to the various
departments involved in product development
(designers, the sales department, design
engineers, the industrial production department
and the product testing department).
Having completed several important stages, the
feasibility of design choices is confirmed using
a series of rapid prototypes, an FEA analysis
(6) (Finite Elements model Analysis, i.e virtual
crashes) and a FMEA (Failure and Mode Effect
Analysis), which study in fine detail a product’s
final features (aesthetic features-size-functionsaerodynamic-performance-ergonomic featuresstructural features), before industrial production
begins.
Having carefully prepared the machinery required
for production, test prototypes are produced for
road and track trials before a product’s launch
on the market. This system allows us to have
accurate and synergic control of every step in a
product’s development, resulting in the constant

AGV ha negli anni perfezionato un metodo di progettazione integrato nel quale confluiscono ricerche, conoscenze
ed esperienze multidisciplinari finalizzate al miglioramento costante del prodotto.
Il progetto è in ogni fase gestito digitalmente creando inizialmente bozzetti di stile (1) e renderings fotorealistici (2)
che attraverso la modellazione 3D (3-4) (C.A.I.D. - Computer Aided Industrial Design) e la progettazione meccanica
(5) (C.A.D. - Computer Aided Design) diventano matematiche utili a generare un ambiente virtuale condiviso
dai differenti ambiti coinvolti nello sviluppo del prodotto (designers, parte commerciale, ingegneri progettisti,
industrializzazione, collaudatori).
Al termine di alcune importanti iterazioni, la bontà delle scelte progettuali è validata tramite una serie di prototipi
rapidi, analisi FEA (6) (Finite Elements model Analysis cioè crash virtuali) e FMEA (Failure and Mode Effect
Analysis) che studiano minuziosamente le caratteristiche finali del prodotto (estetiche-dimensionali-funzionaliaerodinamiche-ergonomiche-strutturali) prima della fase di industrializzazione. Realizzate accuratamente le
attrezzature di produzione, si preparano i prototipi per l’omologazione, per il collaudo su strada e su pista prima del
lancio sul mercato.
Questa metodologia permette un controllo puntuale e sinergico in ogni step di sviluppo migliorando
progressivamente le prestazioni del prodotto.
AGV ha perfeccionado con los años un método de proyectación integrado en el que confluyen investigaciones,
conocimientos y experiencias multidisciplinares dirigidas a la mejora constante del producto.

vez realizados cuidadosamente los equipos de producción, se preparan los prototipos para su homologación, para la
prueba en carretera y en pista antes de su lanzamiento al mercado.
Esta metodología permite un control puntual y sinérgico en cada paso de desarrollo mejorando progresivamente las
prestaciones del producto.

Au cours des années, Agv a perfectionné une méthode intégrée dans laquelle confluent les recherches, les
connaissances et les expériences multidisciplinaires visant l’amélioration constante du produit.
Le projet est géré dans toutes ses phases avec un procédé numérique en créant initialement des ébauches de style
(1) et des rendus photoréalistes (2) qui à travers la modélisation 3D (3-4) (C.A.I.D. – Conception industrielle assistée
par ordinateur) et la conception mécanique (5) (C.A.O. – Conception assistée par ordinateur) deviennent des modèles
mathématiques servant à générer un environnement virtuel où collaborent les différents acteurs impliqués dans le
développement du produit (designers, partie commerciale, ingénieurs concepteurs, industrialisation, testeurs).
À la fin de certaines interactions importantes, les meilleurs choix sont validés à travers une série de prototypes
rapides, analyse FEA (6) (Finite Elements model Analysis, l’analyse par éléments finis c’est-à-dire les crashs
virtuels) et FMEA (Failure and Mode Effect Analysis – AMDE Analyse des Modes de Défaillance et de leurs Effets)
qui étudient minutieusement les caractéristiques finales du produit (esthétiques-dimensionnelles-fonctionnellesaérodynamiques-ergonomiques-structurelles) avant la phase d’industrialisation. Après avoir réalisé soigneusement
l’outillage de production, on prépare les prototypes pour l’homologation, pour l’essai sur route et sur circuit avant le
lancement sur le marché.
Cette méthodologie permet un contrôle ponctuel et synergique de chaque phase de développement en améliorant
progressivement les performances du produit.

FMEA-Analysen (Failure and Mode Effect Analysis) bestätigt, um die Endeigenschaften des Produktes (ÄsthetikAbmessungen-Funktionalität-Aerodynamik-Ergonomie-Aufbau) vor Beginn der industriellen Herstellung im Detail

SHARP (Safety Helmet and Assessment Rating
Programme), established in 2007, it’s the new
helmet safety scheme for motorcyclists created
by the UK Department for Transport and provides
consumers with an independent assessment
of the safety performance of some of the most
popular helmets sold in the UK. The SHARP
RATING reflects the performance of each helmet
model following a series of advanced laboratory
tests; the rating system goes from 1 (Min.) to 5
(Max.) stars. According to SHARP research up to
50 motorcyclists’ lives could be saved every year if
everyone wore a helmet that scores highly in the
SHARP testing system. For more information you

(External Sun Visor 2) is a 80% tinted
antiscratch sunshade screen for use with
the standard clear visor. Just lower it to
protect your eyes from extremely intense
sunlight or flip it up when in normal
light conditions: no need to assemble/
disassemble specific tinted visors.
L’ESV-2 (External Sun Visor 2) è un

inevitably recall the AX-8 Model from which it was derived, but additional technical features like the visor and the

top guarantee all the performance and comfort of a road model.

a todos los detalles del Diesel Mowie: tejidos y pieles, rigurosamente realizados en Italia, en juego, la cresta que
recuerda la del glorioso Mohican Diesel, el logitipo trasero cromado brillante, el paranuca ergonómico acolchado.
Incorpora de serie una pantalla transparente bombeada en policarbonato antirrayas, disponible también en las

Irokesenaufsatz erinnert an den legendären Mohican Diesel, glänzend verchromtes hinteres Logo, ergonomisch
geformter, gepolsterter Genickschutz. Serienmäßiges transparentes, Gewölbtes Visier aus kratzfestem
Polykarbonat auch in den Farbvarianten getönt, gelb, orange und grün.

aquellos que desean un casco original que no pasa desapercibido. Su imagen atractiva, las variantes cromáticas de
sus grafismos y sus inconfundibles abombados laterales enfatizan todavía más el nuevo diseño “aeronáutico” en el
que se inspira el casco. Completa el casco una pantalla móvil, disponible en las variantes humo e iridium silver, que
permite adaptar el uso conforme a las exigencias y al estilo de conducción del motociclista.
HI-JACK: Der Helm DIESEL HI-JACK erinnert an die Welt der Hubschrauberpiloten und ist für diejenigen gedacht,
die ein originelles Modell suchen, das sicher alle Blicke auf sich zieht. Der attraktive Look, die Farbvarianten der
Graphiken und die unverwechselbaren Rundungen an den Seiten betonen das neue Luftfahrt-Design, an dem sich
der Hi-Jack inspiriert, noch stärker. Zum Helm gehört ein einschiebbares Visier, das auch in den Varianten getönt
und Iridium Silver angeboten wird und mit dem der Helm je nach Bedürfnissen und Stil des Motorradfahrers genutzt
