Larry Pichard, Pastor Visiones del Párroco, Pbro. Larry Pichard The biggest thing coming up this week is the Bishop’s Pro-life Dinner on April 16, Saturday evening. Obviously, the purpose of this 23rd annual dinner is to raise consciousness about all the positive things going on in the country and in our local area that are promoting and protecting life. You may not hear about those victories if you follow just the secular news. There isn’t enough space in this column to list those victories, but just go to our diocesan pro-life website: https://www.prolifedallas.org/. The second purpose is to raise funds to support those many positive ministries. Thus, the dinner which includes a silent auction, a raffle, and the opportunity to make whatever donation you like. Every year an outstanding speaker gives powerful testimony for life. This year will be Actor, Producer and Pro-Life Advocate Eduardo Verástegui. Born and raised in Mexico, he became a popular actor in Mexico and an equally popular actor in the USA. But he became disillusioned with the very secular values of movie producers and actors; he gave up a very prosperous career to do something else with this talents. So, he became a producer. His first film was Bella, a movie that upheld the sacred importance of life. The second was Little Boy, a film that promoted the sacred importance of family. I am sure that his message will be very engaging and inspiring. You can read his amazing journey on this website. I hope you are able to attend. Just go to https://www.prolifedallas.org/dinner. You can find out more information, you can register for the dinner and then attend.
