Effective Oct. 1, 2008, it is mandatory to file your Electronic Export Information
(EEI) online through the Automated Export System (AES). Every shipment going to
Puerto Rico must provide an authorization code or exception code from AESDirect.
To file your EEI, go to: www.aesdirect.gov.
Efectivo a partir del 1 de Octubre del 2008, será necesario completar la Información Electrónica de Exportación
(EEI por sus siglas en ingles), a través de la pagina de internet del sistema automatizado de Exportación (AES
por sus siglas en ingles). Todo embarque con destino a Puerto Rico deberá acompañarse por el código de
autorización de ASDirect. Para completar el EEI por favor visitar la siguiente pagina www.aesdirect.gov.

Sailing schedule subject to change. To view a current sailing schedule, go to fedex.com. FedEx Freight and FedEx National LTL containers typically secure “hot hatch” positioning from
ocean carrier providers which allow your shipments to be last on and first off the ocean vessel in San Juan. No customs duties are assessed on products arriving to Puerto Rico from the U.S.
However, an excise tax (sales tax) applies and is calculated from the Commercial Invoice value. Sales tax payment is the responsibility of the customer.
Delivery begins the day following vessel arrival providing it is a normal business day, timely arrival of vessel and acceptance by the Hacienda of manifest information.
