Piezas de los bajos:
Nota: Los p. se recogen en el lado en que las
sisas quedan más cerca de la orilla de la labor
(letra B del patrón).
Con ag. nº 4 ½ y la calidad BRISA, recoger
todos los p. en la altura del extremo derecho
de la 1ª pieza.
Cambiar a las ag. nº 6 ½ y trab. a p. jersey der.,
aumentando ó menguando en la 1ª vta., según
sea necesario, para obtener un total de –a) 96 p.
–b) 103 p.
A 20 cm. de largo total cerrar todos los p. un
poco flojos.
Trab. igual pero a la inversa en la 2ª pieza.
Hilvanar encaradas las piezas de los bajos de la
calidad BRISA y planchar con vapor máximo.
Coser las piezas 1 y 2 que tenemos con los p. a
la espera (letra A patrón) a p. de grafting (ver pág.
de p. básicos) y las piezas de calidad BRISA se
cosen a p. de lado (ver pág. de p. básicos).
Nota: es muy importante no equivocarse en la
colocación de las copas de las mangas
Aplicar las mangas, poner la mitad superior
de la copa de las mangas, en el medio de las
sisas, en la parte más ancha de la prenda de la
calidad TEMIS (= letra C del patrón) y el inicio de
la sisa de la mangas, en la parte más estrecha
de la prenda (letra D del patrón) coser a p. de
lado (ver pág. de p. básicos). Coser los bajos
de las mangas.
Armholes: when left front measures 15” (38 cm),
with right side of work facing, work 29 sts and
leave the rem –a) 64 –b) 67 sts on hold. Cont
working the 29 sts binding/casting off at beg of
every wrong side row: 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times,
22 sts rem. Work the right side row and at beg
of wrong side row increase: 2 sts 2 times, 3 sts
1 time, work next right side row with the 29 sts,
cut yarn and leave sts on hold.
Pick up the –a) 64 –b) 67 sts previously left
on hold and bind/cast off at beg of every right
side row:
–a) 19 sts 1 time, 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times
–b) 22 sts 1 time, 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 2 times
Total of –a) & –b) 38 sts rem (corresponds to
shoulder and collar).
Finish the row and at the end of the next wrong
side row increase:
–a) 2 sts 2 times, 3 sts 1time, 19 sts 1 time
–b) 2 sts 2 times, 3 sts 1time, 22 sts 1 time
On the same row that the –a) 19 –b) 22 sts are
increased, pick up the 29 sts previously left on
hold and finish the row working all the –a) 93
–b) 96 sts. Cont working in Stockinette St.
When left front measures –a) 23 1/4” (59 cm)
–b) 24 3/4” (63 cm) leave all sts on hold.
FINISHING (MAKING UP)
Baste tog pieces 1 & 2 in TEMIS with right sides
facing and lightly block/press.
Baste sleeves tog (in quality BRISA) with right
sides facing and block/press with maximum
steam.
Lower section pieces:
Note: The stitches are picked up at the side
where the armhole is nearer to the edge of the
work (letter B on the pattern).
Using size 7 needles and BRISA, pick up all the
stitches on the 1st piece at the height of the far
right. Change to size 10 1/2 needles and work in
Stockinette St increasing or decreasing where
necessary on the 1st row in order to obtain –a) 96
–b) 103 sts. When lower section measures 7 7/8”
(20 cm), loosely bind/cast off all sts.
Work the 2nd piece in the same way but reverse
shaping.
Baste tog the lower pieces in BRISA with right
sides facing and block/press with maximum
steam.
Sew pieces 1 & 2 which have been left on hold
(letter A on pattern) using the grafting method (see
Basic instructions), and sew the pieces in BRISA
using Side Seams (see Basic instructions).
Note: it is very important to attach the sleeves
correctly.
Attach the sleeves matching the middle of the
sleeve head to the middle of the armhole at the
widest part of the garment in quality TEMIS (=
letter C on the pattern) and the start of the sleeve
armhole to the narrowest part of the garment
(letter D on the pattern), sew using Side Seams
(see Basic instructions).
Sew underarms.
GARMENT PLACEMENT
The widest part of the garment in TEMIS is the
shoulder.
