Progreso Community Center is the
first grassroots Hispanic membership
organization and first Hispanic
community center in Nashville. It
operates under a 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization.
The mission of Progreso Community Center is to organize and build
the capacity of members of the Hispanic community to participate in
processes of community action for social change and the collective
benefit of Hispanics and the general community, while contributing to
social unity in a context of multilcultural diversity.
Our work focuses on three areas: grassroots community organizing,
community education, and health. In addition to coordinating the
Nashville Latino Health Coalition, we also offer:
