Following the example of Our Lady and her yes to God,
we, the community of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, commit ourselves to:
Deepen our knowledge of the Catholic Faith
by promoting catechetical and biblical programs for children, youth and adults. Special attention to be given
to sacramental preparation.
Welcome the migrants and the newcomers
by providing the possibilities of expressing the religious, cultural, diversity and social traditions of each ethnic group.
Share our God given gifts and caring responsibility
for those in need. Becoming aware and involved in social issues and initiatives.

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ::
“Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers
of mine, you did for me” (Mt. 25:40). As men and women of faith we
take the Gospel challenge of our Savior Jesus Christ to heart as we
endeavor to keep the faith. Modern culture and our gadget dependent
society have created an age of convenience, but an age that often forgets those
with no voice because their existence is not convenient to us. Next
weekend on September 10 and 11 the Diocese of Palm Beach will have a
special collection to benefit the Respect Life Ministry and Migrant Ministry.
Tens of thousands of our brothers and sisters of all faiths, races,
ethnicities, and cultures are still confronting adversity and persecution all
around the world. Closer to home, our faith faces the challenges of a society
that has an increasing disrespect for the dignity of human life and the human
person. These voices often cry out with a silent scream because it is far
more convenient for us to ignore them than to live the Gospel message.
The Gospel is challenging because many times it is not convenient, not
popular, and not easy to live. To respect the dignity of all life,
especially the unborn, is our Christian mission and one that we should
proclaim proudly. Additionally, Saint Paul reminds us that our true
citizenship is in heaven and that we are all sojourners here on the earth,
thus we extend our love and kindness to all migrants, because we too
were once strangers in a foreign land (Ex. 22:21).
Your support of these this special collection enables the Diocese of
Palm Beach to enact programs and services that promote and respect
the lives of all of God’s sons and daughters.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas en Cristo:
"En verdad les digo, cualquier cosa que hayan hecho a cualquiera de
estos pequeños, ustedes me lo han hecho a mí" (Mt. 25, 40). Como
hombres y mujeres de fe tomamos en serio el reto del Evangelio de
Nuestro Señor Jesucristo al esforzarnos en mantener la fe. La cultura
moderna y nuestra sociedad dependiente de las máquinas han creado
una era de conveniencia, pero hay un momento en el que nos olvidamos frecuentemente de los que no tienen voz porque su existencia no
es conveniente para nosotros. El próximo fin de semana el 10 y 11 de
septiembre, la diócesis de Palm Beach hará una colecta especial para
beneficiar el ministerio del respeto por la vida y el ministerio de los
migrantes.
Decenas de miles de nuestros hermanos y hermanas de todas las creencias, razas, etnias y culturas todavía están confrontando la adversidad y
la persecución alrededor del mundo. Cerca de casa nuestra fe enfrenta
los retos de la sociedad, que tiene una falta de respeto exacerbada por
la dignidad de la vida humana y la persona. Estas voces frecuentemente claman con un grito silencioso porque es mucho más conveniente
para nosotros el ignorarlos que vivir el mensaje del Evangelio.
El Evangelio nos está desafiando porque muchas veces no es conveniente, ni popular y no es fácil de vivir. Para respetar la dignidad de
todas las vidas, especialmente la de los no nacidos, es nuestra misión
cristiana y lo que debemos proclamar con orgullo. Además, San Pablo
nos recuerda que nuestra verdadera ciudadanía está en el cielo y todos
somos peregrinos aquí en la tierra, por lo tanto, extendemos nuestro
amor y bondad a todos los migrantes, porque nosotros también fuimos
extranjeros en una tierra desconocida. (Ex. 22,21).
Su apoyo a esta colecta especial, permite a la Diócesis de Palm Beach
a suscitar programas y servicios que promueven y respeten las vidas de
todos los hijos e hijas de Dios.
Con gratitud por su continua generosidad y su deseo de oración, me
despido sinceramente en Cristo.
