Play it safe
GO REAL
LET YOU SKILLS TAKE OFF WITH
STATE-OF-THE-ART SIMULATION
THERE ARE NO SHORTCUTS TO SUCCESS. TO ACHIEVE A RESULT
YOU NEED SKILLS. THIS TAKES TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, INVOLVEMENT AND LONG HOURS OF PRACTICE AT THE MACHINE’S CONTROLS. NOW YOU NO LONGER NEED TO COMPROMISE PRODUCTION PLANS WHILE YOUR OPERATORS ACHIEVE THE SKILLS THEY
NEED.
In our amazingly lifelike and sophisticated training simulators, operators are given plenty
of time to practice on machinery and systems – before they enter the real world.
The simulators, available for a whole range of applications, have great benefits.
Simulator training does not take valuable time from production. It is also very safe and
quickly improves the operators’ ability to master the machine, right from the start.
We are looking at original Atlas Copco cutting edge technology, integrated in our state-ofthe-art simulators. This is as close to reality you can get.
Take your seat behind the controls, press the start button and get ready to master the
machine.
Play it safe, enjoy and let your skills take off.
MAIN BENEFITS
Training in a safe environment
No interference with mine production
No fuel or power consumption
24/7 training possible
The scenarios, with increasing compleity, will take you from safety and start-up
procedures up to advanced performance.
In each scenario you get instructions on
how to operate and carry out all actions.

The Atlas Copco simulators can be
configured for operation in your local language. This language support includes
translated instructions on simulator
displays, manuals, start-up guides, and
SMS and RCS displays.
This simulator is valid for the Atlas Copco
Minetruck MT42
There is a multiple LED screen system,
displaying real-time simulation. To take
advantage of the current session, a large
screen is mounted beside the simulator
with an outside view, enabling a small
group of operators to watch and learn.
The simulators include full documentation
regarding manuals. They can also be
remotely updated and simulator diagnostics can be monitored over the internet.
The Minetruck MT42 simulator
is designed with a number of
training scenarios where you can
increase your machine skills. The
simulator has all the original
components and controls
integrated in an original cab.
Optional Equipment
To create a realistic field of view, and a
more immersive experience, this Atlas
Copco simulator uses the same seat
and controls as with the real equipment.
Atlas Copco simulators are built from the
engineering plans of the real machine. All
programs and controls are real machine
components, giving you the exact feeling of
using actual Atlas Copco equipment.

OF SIMULATOR
TRAINING
THE SIMULATOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (SMS) IS A LEARNING-FOCUSED
SYSTEM THAT ENABLES THE INSTRUCTOR TO DEFINE THE PREREQUISITES
FOR ANY SIMULATOR EXERCISE AND MAINTAIN A SUITABLE LEARNING
PATH FOR THE OPERATOR IN TRAINING. THE SMS PROVIDES A BIRD’S-EYE
VIEW FOR BOTH THE OPERATOR AND THE INSTRUCTOR. IT PROVIDES THE
INSTRUCTOR WITH THE ABILITY TO MONITOR THE PROGRESS OF EACH
OPERATOR IN REAL TIME AND DETECT WHEN SOMEONE MAY NEED
FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS. USING THE INCLUDED HEAD-SET’S DURING
OPERATION GIVES THE INSTRUCTOR THE POSSIBILITY TO GIVE DIRECT
FEEDBACK TO THE OPERATOR.

OPERATOR
EXPERIENCE
ATLAS COPCO SIMULATORS ARE BUILT FROM THE ENGINEERING PLANS OF
THE REAL MACHINE. ALL PROGRAMS AND CONTROLS ARE REAL MACHINE
COMPONENTS, GIVING YOU THE EXACT FEELING OF USING ACTUAL ATLAS
COPCO EQUIPMENT.
To create a realistic field of view, and a more immersive experience, the Atlas
Copco simulator uses the same cab as with the real equipment. Inside the cab,
there is a multiple LED screen system, displaying real-time simulation. To take
advantage of the current session, a large screen is mounted outside the cab,
enabling a small group of operators to watch and learn.
All functions, including the Atlas Copco Rig Control System (RCS) are fully
functional, ensuring that the operators are well prepared for reality.
The simulators include full documentation regarding manuals and quick startup guides; they can also be remotely updated and fault diagnostics can be
monitored over the internet.

OPERATOR TRAINING
ATLAS COPCO MASTER DRILLER PROGRAM
GO FOR GOLD
TO ACHIEVE RESULTS AND REACH THE TOP YOU NEED TOP-LEVEL
SKILLS. THE ATLAS COPCO MASTER DRILLER PROGRAM FOR MINING
AND ROCK EXCAVATION IS DESIGNED TO HELP OPERATORS PERFORM AT 100 % OF THEIR ABILITY.
The Master Driller program combines theory
and practical training for operators on three
distinct levels – Bronze, Silver and Gold. The
program is built around the many conditions
and tasks that operators face in mining and
construction operations.
Why the Master Driller program?
The Atlas Copco Master Driller program meets
the escalating demands for increased productivity and decreased cost. New and experienced
operators need to gain new skills and maintain
and improve the skills they have.
8
The result:
• Higher productivity
• Less cost for damaged equipment
• Increased safety
• Documentation of workforce skills
Bronze Level
The Bronze level consists of e-learning or
classroom training for operators, in four steps. The student gains a range of fundamental
knowledge about rock types, drilling technique, shockwave theory, and more. When
tests are successfully completed the student
can proceed to the Silver level.
Silver Level
At the Silver level, a dedicated Atlas Copco
Product Specialist provides live training. The
focus here is the rig and how to safely and
fully use its functions. Step-by-step presentations are followed by hands-on simulator
training where operators must perform
specific tasks. Individual performance
is reviewed, so additional reinforcement can be given.
Gold Level
At the Gold level, our specialist comes to the
customer’s site and conducts one-on-one
training with each operator in the program.
Silver level training is reviewed, and repeated
if necessary, but in actual drill rigs. When
the Gold level is successfully completed, the
operator will have a Master Driller.
