Sala 1 “Los Confites”
Los Confites, en estos meses estuvimos
explorando diferentes elementos con
nuestras manos y pies. Anduvimos descalzos
descubriendo distintas sensaciones, algunas
más suaves y otras más ásperas. Realizamos
trasvasados con harina, arena, botones y
tapitas.
Jugamos y preparamos masa con texturas.
Realizamos muchos trabajitos utilizando las
manos sobre varios soportes. Nos pusimos
los gorros de panaderos y cocinamos unos
ricos y deliciosos chipas.
Nos divertimos un montón!!

Sala 2 “Los Chupetines”
Los Chupetines estuvimos trabajando en nuestro
Proyecto “Creando Arte” favoreciendo la
expresión plástica pudiendo expresar emociones
frente a nuestras creaciones y la de los otros.
Observamos cuadros y esculturas de diferentes
artistas, descubriendo detalles de color, tamaño,
entre otros.
Realizamos cuadros grupales y en diversos
soportes: cerámicas, cartón, telgopor, etc.
Combinamos materiales como rollos de cocina,
cajas de remedios, corchos, papel afiche, celofán,
barrilete, crepé y aluminio y modelamos con
masa.

Nivel Inicial
Los Caramelos, jugando en nuestro proyecto "1, 2, 3 ¿cuál viene después?" usamos monedas antiguas.
Compramos y vendimos en el kiosco de la sala en el cual calculamos cuántas necesitábamos para comprar
nuestros desayunos. También nos divertimos en la confitería y en el supermercado que armamos entre todos!!
Cuánto que aprendimos jugando!!
Otra de las cosas que también disfrutamos, fue conocer la historia de Domingo Faustino Sarmiento,
centrándonos en sus obras, pudiendo jugar dramatizando a los maestros, el viaje en ferrocarril, los hospitales
y el zoológico de Buenos Aires. En grupo pintamos el tren que luego utilizamos en el acto. Nos divertimos
cantando y bailando con las seños, los nenes de las otras salas y los papás. Estuvimos genial!!
KINDER 3
We can say we are learning wonderful things in this new world we are getting to know, and we are having a
lot of fun! We enjoy it a lot when Cookie comes to visit us. We like to recognize the day´s weather too! We
have fun singing the number’s song now that we can count up to 10!!! We are gradually learning the different
parts of the body and we love singing “Head, Shoulder, Knees and Toes”. One of our favourite activities is
“story time”. We really enjoy listening to “The Three Little Pigs” story and acting it out. We also have a good
time talking about animals, their colours, parts of the body, the different actions they can or can´t do. We are
starting to learn where we can find the different animals: at the zoo? in the farm? in our houses? Now, we
are looking forward to visiting the zoo!!!

Kinder 4
We continue to enjoy learning with the help of games and songs. We love drawing and
painting with crayons, and working with the Happy House Class Book. We learnt the names
of different classroom objects and new songs too! We had fun listening to the “Little Five
Fish”, coloring and cutting it. We like counting, and we are actually learning to add numbers
or “guessing” the missing number!!!! The body? Oh! We are getting to know the different
parts of the body…We started to talk about Doc McStuffins, a TV show we all enjoy
watching. Last but not least, we are starting to prepare the Fair. We expect to make a
great show, and have fun practising and learning new things
Sala 4 “Los Chocolates”
Los Chocolates tenemos novedades para contarles. Estuvimos
trabajando mucho!! Realizamos desteñidos con papel crepé y
rociadores con agua, exploramos texturas y utilizamos herramientas
plásticas y convencionales. Aprendimos canciones nuevas y
jitanjáforas (Aiepo, Vale, Pata, Zum), con las que nos divertimos
mucho!! Y también con las rimas que realizaron en familia,
felicitaciones!! Bailamos, exploramos nuevos movimientos corporales y
gestuales, jugamos con la canción: “Mil caritas”, la cual nos encanta!!
Clasificamos medios de transporte: aéreos, acuáticos y terrestres. Los
comparamos mediante
imágenes, establecimos semejanzas y
diferencias entre ellos. Jugamos al memotest, dominó y construimos
medios de transporte con ayuda de los papás que vinieron a la clase
abierta, nos encantó recibirlos!
En Computación afianzamos los contenidos trabajados en la sala en
relación a los medios de transporte.

Hola Familias: Nuevamente estamos compartiendo con todos ustedes nuestras
novedades. Luego del receso escolar comenzamos a utilizar el cuaderno, estamos muy
contentos y lo cuidamos muchísimo! Estamos trabajando en un proyecto de medios de
comunicación descubriendo y explorando qué nos informan y para qué sirven. Lo
mejor: comenzamos a trabajar con la seño de Primer Grado. ¡Qué grandes que
estamos!
Bueno nos despedimos hasta el próximo encuentro.

We have continued listening to different stories and we really enjoy that. We like
trying to recognize the different characters and the plot of each story!We enjoy
working with the English book and getting involved with the different stories we can
find there and, of course, with the new songs we are getting to know. We learnt lots
of things about the body, the school and we are learning about sports: actions we
can and can’t do.
We are practicing dialogues too… working with joy and enthusiasm!!!
Sala 5 “Los Alfajores”

Con la seño Paula, en el turno de la tarde, estuvimos
trabajando con las manos. Fueron nuestras principales
herramientas para explorar y descubrir distintas texturas y
sensaciones. Jugamos con plastilina, realizamos expresión
corporal con palanganas, cocinamos pan (que nos quedó
súper exquisito!!), trozamos papel de diario y al sonar la
música hacíamos lluvia de papeles. ¡Nos divertimos y
aprendemos mucho!
Con la seño Male compartimos nuestro proyecto: "Damos una
vuelta manzana al jardín". Conversamos sobre el barrio de
Belgrano, averiguamos cómo era hace algunos años, qué
negocios había que ya no están, dónde iban a pasear, etc.
Dimos una vuelta a la manzana, observamos los negocios
actuales, las casas, los edificios y para finalizar realizamos
una maqueta de la estructuta del jardín y las personas que
trabajan. Hasta la próxima!
Turno tarde
Con seño Lidia, durante este tiempo
estuvimos muy entusiasmados trabajando
en el proyecto "Reciclamos en el jardín"
para el cual construimos una maqueta de
"un barrio ecológico" con los materiales
que nos enviaron. Además, en plástica,
los utilizamos para hacer sellos y creamos
otros elementos de juego!!
Por otro lado, continuamos trabajando en
el proyecto “Un momento para soñar” con
el libro viajero, que ya llegó a las casas
de Cata, Valen, Martina y Agustín.
Compartimos entre todos lo que
escribieron las familias y lo disfrutamos
mucho! Pronto llegará a las demás casas!!

Nivel Primario
Los chicos de primer grado estuvieron trabajando
mucho durante estos meses, lo cual se ve
reflejado en sus logros y trabajos realizados.
Aprendieron a escribir oraciones para expresar
ideas, así como también breves historias a través
de imágenes. Trabajaron con el libro VERZOOS
donde conocieron historias sorprendentes y
muchos animales nuevos.
En matemática llegaron al número 100, realizando
distintas actividades como escalas ascendentes de
10 en 10.
En ciencias conversamos sobre las partes del
cuerpo, aprendieron como funciona cada parte y
el trabajo que realiza todos los días para estar
sanos y fuertes.
1er Grado
Here Comes the Sun
Spring is coming soon and we are
approaching the end of the year.. We
are lucky to be sharing a beautiful
year where we learn something new
every day . We make new dialogues,
and we are preparing for the English
Fair. Children are happy and excited
about this new challenge.! Enjoy these
last months ... we are enjoying our
English class!

¡Chau lápiz trabajador!
Los chicos de segundo grado
comenzaron a usar la lapicera de tinta y
reemplazaron al lápiz negro.
Nos reunimos una mañana con las
familias, y a modo de sorpresa, se les
entregaron los nuevos útiles: lapicera,
borratintas y cartuchos.
Muy entusiasmados escribieron la fecha
en sus cuadernos con ayuda de los
papás.
Luego compartimos un desayuno y
festejamos esta nueva incorporación.
¡Qué grandes que están!
2do Grado
Ingredients for pleasant learning: take some highly motivated kids, a loving
and creative teacher and mix...
Since the beginning of the second term, second graders have not stopped.
First, we created a fantastic restaurant in our classroom, full of different
kinds of food and drinks, carefully chosen by the children’s good taste. The
waiters were eager to serve meals to their customers and the customers
were so pleased that they wanted to go back again. So, definitely, they can
now go to a real restaurant and ask for the most delicious meal on the
menu. Children also finished another project: “Our House”. They learnt loads
of new vocabulary and made a huge poster about their “ideal bedroom”…
can you imagine bedrooms in space, with water slides, rollercoasters or fish
in them? Well, some of the children’s bedrooms were certainly zany and
creative. At the moment, we are working on “routines” and the children had
the opportunity to meet Chirio, a Super Bat with a fun life… now, every time
they forget to add an “–s” to “he”, “she” or “it” he comes with his “Super S”
t-shirt to make them remember it. But do you think this is all we are doing?
No way. Right now, we are starting the rehearsals for the English Fair: “The
Smurfs”, those kind blue creatures that want to escape from their enemy,
Gargamel... We cannot wait to show you our great play. See you soon!

Los chicos de tercero realizamos un
texto informativo acerca del cuidado
de nuestro sistema ósteo-artromuscular y los recaudos diarios que
tenemos que tener en cuenta. Para tal
fin, articulamos las áreas de Prácticas
del Lenguaje y Conocimiento del
Mundo utilizando textos informativos e
indagando nuestras hipótesis acerca
del sistema muscular que fuimos
poniendo a prueba a través de
observaciones y registro de placas
radiográficas, esqueleto de plástico,
experiencias
con
músculos,
articulaciones y huesos de un pollo.
3er Grado
Remember the past, understand the present and
get ready for the future.
These months have been full of studying in 3rd
grade! We worked on sports, watching the
Olympic Games of London. We talked and wrote
not only about our favourite sports and the
sportsmen and sportswomen we admire, but also
about the geography and culture of the United
Kingdom. We even prepared our sports’
magazines! Meanwhile, we went on working with
our class book in which we learned how to
measure speed. We also practised high numbers,
such as hundreds and thousands. And last but not
least, we started working with simple past
sentences and talked about different past events
of our lives. We worked with old ghost stories and
we invented our own scary ones! Do you think we
are tired? Not yet! Because there are three
months to go and we are eager to enjoy them!

En esta etapa comenzamos a ver “Cuentos de terrorrrrrr” y
realizamos producciones muy divertidas. En el proyecto literario
nos sumergimos en “El Misterio del Mayordomo”, un libro de
Norma Huidobro, donde debemos develar un gran misterio.
En Geometría jugamos con rectas, ángulos, triángulos,
aprendimos a usar el compás para construir figuras y usamos
fósforos para las poligonales abiertas y cerradas.
En Cs. Naturales trabajamos con las plantas utilizando
diferentes clases de semillas para realizar un germinador en
grupos de trabajo y realizamos láminas con el proceso que
vamos observando completando sus partes.
En Cs. Sociales conocimos el fantástico mundo Inca, Maya y
Azteca donde investigamos muchísimo las diferentes culturas.
Como cierre del proyecto realizamos una exposición oral con
láminas e interactuando con el resto de los grupos. ¡¡Cómo nos
divertimos!! Hasta el próximo Notimaster!!

Shiny Happy People
Hi again! How have you been? We´ve
been doing great and now we want
to give you some updates! We really
enjoyed the play we went to see this
week. It was great to sing along the
songs we had learnt in class and to
finally meet those characters! Now,
we´ll focus on the coming Fair!
Unfortunately, we cannot tell you
much about it...at least, not yet but
you should know that we´ll be
concentrated on that for sure!
The rest is fine...we are learning lots
of things in each subject every day
so everything is on track!

¡Durante este período, quinto grado estuvo
trabajando sin parar!
En Cs. Sociales, por grupos, investigaron sobre las
distintas regiones de nuestro país. Armaron
juegos, láminas, mapas, trajeron comidas típicas,
vestimentas y música que compartieron en una
gran exposición para tercer grado.
En Cs. Naturales conocieron los diferentes tipos de
alimentación de los animales y profundizaron en
internet sobre la alimentación de los dinosaurios
específicamente.
En Matemática resolvieron y crearon diversas
situaciones
problemáticas
con
números
fraccionarios.
Y en Prácticas del Lenguaje están trabajando con
el Proyecto “La entrevista y el reportaje” y muy
pronto estará publicada!

Do you take care of you teeth? Do you know how
important they are? Try saying 'la la la la la'. It
would be impossible to say that without your
tongue and teeth! They not only help us smash
and cut food, but they also help us talk!
5th grade has been learning and working on this.
We kept a record of how many times we brush
our teeth, how many times we floss our teeth and
how much
we avoid sweets and fizzy
drinks. Results were quite good! Remember it is
important to brush your teeth twice a day, floss
them and visit your dentist!
In History we have travelled to visit the Ancient
Romans, learning about their way of living and
laws. Do you know where the name Rome comes
from? Google it and find out or you may ask one
of the fifth graders! Until next! Bye Bye!

Hola a todos! Nos volvemos a encontrar para
compartir con ustedes lo que estuvimos haciendo
durante estos meses. En el área de Prácticas del
Lenguaje trabajamos con el tema de la biografía.
Leímos el libro "Vidas perpendiculares" de Ana María
Shua y observamos historias de vida de diferentes
personalidades famosas. También aplicamos la
técnica de estudio de la línea de tiempo y la red
conceptual. Comenzamos con la lectura del libro "La
Expedición" de Ricardo Mariño. En el área de Cs.
Sociales estudiamos las características de la población
argentina, los censos de población y los problemas
ambientales.
Con
este
último
tema,
interrelacionándolo con el área de P. del Lenguaje,
armamos folletos con mensajes para el cuidado del
medio ambiente que podrán observar en las
carteleras del colegio.
6to Grado
Exploring Irish roots
If I have any worth, it is to live my life for God so as to teach
these peoples; even though some of them still look down on
me.- Saint Patrick
Along with seventh form we have plunged into the life of one
of the most emblematic individuals of Ireland. We have learnt
who Saint Patrick was and the importance of his actions for
Irish people. Moreover, we prepared a project in which the
children contrasted religion before and after Saint Patrick's
arrival in Ireland. The students were also able to provide a
definition of "Fact" and "Myth" and to spot which aspects of
Saint Patrick's life were facts and which ones were myths that
emerged through time. Furthermore, we accompanied Saint
Patrick in his journey and could witness when he was
kidnapped by the Irish, when he worked as a slave in Ireland,
when he had strange dreams and visions and last but not
least when he converted the Irish to Christianity. I am sure that
the student's thirst for knowledge will give us the opportunity
to witness and experience more journeys together.

Nos adentramos en el mundo microscópico analizando
las células. Observamos células vegetales con el
microscopio, conocimos los microorganismos que
benefician y perjudican a nuestro cuerpo. Comenzamos
con las clases especiales para exponer las hermosas
maquetas de células vegetales y animales.
¡Bienvenida geometría! Incorporamos todo lo visto
hasta el momento en la resolución de problemas de
geometría. Empleamos el Teorema de Pitágoras y
establecimos relaciones entre los elementos de los
polígonos.
Además conocimos a nuestros ahijados de primero y
compartimos un hermoso momento en el que
ejercitamos la escritura mediante la creación de
oraciones a partir de láminas que realizamos para ello.
También les enseñamos las distintas partes del cuerpo
de los animales y el lugar donde viven.
7mo Grado
“ Look like the innocent flower but
be the serpent under it.”
Seventh-form students finished reading
and discussing the play “Macbeth”,
giving them the opportunity to compare
it to the film directed by Roman Polanski.
They also did a Project based on the
play, and finally they read a funny, ironic
newspaper article called “Macdeath”,
which briefly described the main events
revolving Scotland and Macbeth.

Día del niño
Spelling Olympics
Para celebrar su día los chicos de
sala de 2, 3, 4 y 5 fueron al
pelotero, en donde disfrutaron en
los distintos juegos.
Sala de 1, por su parte, lo
celebró junto a las familias
compartiendo un desayuno todos
disfrazados!!! Jugaron y se
divirtieron mucho también!!
Los chicos de primaria celebraron
compartiendo un
pic-nic y
divirtiéndose con juegos de mesa.
Para finalizar su día cada uno se
llevó un
hermoso
regalito
realizado por las seños.
In August, as is a tradition in our
institution, the Spelling Olympics were
held once more. All grades practised
with a big variety of activities such as
spelling bee, word hunts, word
scrambles, dictations, crosswords,
puzzles and so on. Diplomas, prizes
and mentions were read and given in
a warm meeting in the playground
downstairs. Kids cheered the winners
and pictures were taken. I particularly
want to remark the work of 6th form,
which was outstanding and showed
real commitment. It was difficult to
decide who were winners there!
Articulación
Los alumnos de Sala 5 y 1º grado
ya realizaron 2 encuentros. En el
primer encuentro se juntaron en
la sala, escucharon un cuento
sobre el campo y la ciudad y en
sus cuadernos dibujaron y
escribieron la parte que más les
gustó.
En
el
segundo
encuentro
trabajaron en el área de
Matemática
con
figuras
geométricas Esperamos ansiosos
el próximo encuentro!
Taller
Los chicos de 6to y 7mo
realizaron un taller con alumnos y
coordinadores del Colegio de la
Ciudad sobre la consigna: “30
días sin Facebook”. Observaron
un video con las experiencias de
estos chicos y luego debatimos y
escribimos en grupos las ventajas
y desventajas de usar o no
facebook. Realizamos una puesta
en común y algunos se
comprometieron
a
intentar
realizar esta experiencia. Y
vos…te animás?

SPORTS
El miércoles 12/9 todos los alumnos del Master (desde sala
de 3 hasta 7mo) participaron de una jornada increíble!
Juntos con los padres, primaria, realizó actividades
relacionadas con los juegos olímpicos: salto en alto, salto en
largo, lanzamiento de jabalina y lanzamiento de pelota de
softball. Luego de compartir el almuerzo corrieron carreras con
vallas y de postas, también realizaron juegos en la cancha
inflable y deportes (softball las nenas y football los varones).
Por su parte los chicos de jardín participaron de juegos
relacionados con actividades de atletismo como carrera de
vallas, salto en largo y lanzamiento de bolsitas de arena.
¡Hasta se ganaron unas súper “medallas de oro”!
¡Gracias a todos por participar! Lo pasamos genial!!
