A Stewardship Prayer for the Summer
Lord,
You give us the gift of summer, not as a
break from you or stewardship of your
gifts, but as challenge for us to be stewards of your gifts in a different way.
As we enjoy the gifts of longer days and
warm weather, help us to consider how
we might use those gifts to further build
up your kingdom. And also to regularly
give you thanks for all your wonderful
generosity!
Amen.

Where will our priests be
June 3- 6 and what's a convocation??
The priests in the diocese are being called together by
Bishop Kevin Farrell to attend the 2013 Convocation for
Priests to be held at the Marriott Solana Hotel in Westlake. The convocation is held every other year. It begins
at 530pm on Monday, June 3, and concludes at 1130am on
Thursday, June 6.
During the Convocation your priests will not be available to
tend to normal parish activities (e.g. daily Mass on Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Thursday). In case of an emergency, please
call the parish office.
The purpose of the convocation is to afford our priests
an opportunity to meet together with the bishop, to pray
together and to reflect upon their priestly ministry and to
discuss together the issues facing them in the exercise of
their priestly ministry. By holding the convocation away
from Dallas it is hoped that the priests will be freed from
the demands and hectic pace of their ministry.
Please pray for our priests that they will return from the
convocation refreshed and renewed by this opportunity for
continued growth and priestly fraternity.

CCF Class 501:
Your intentions may be included in a special Father’s Day Novena of
Masses.
Nine consecutive Masses will be celebrated for the intention of those
participating in the Novena. This Novena of Masses will be celebrated
beginning Father’s Day Sunday June 16, 2013 through June 24, 2013.
Church History
Church History illustrates how a community, guided by the Holy
Spirit, has evolved throughout the centuries. These events and actions are filled with joy and sorrow that remember an essential truth
for us: We are the Mystical Body of Christ in human history, in the
struggle to remain faithful to the Gospel, and to see ourselves as the
mustard seed that should grow and bear fruit. Come learn about our
Church History; the good, the bad and the ugly.
This class is open to all members of the parish and meets requirements for 10 hrs. of credit towards Catechetical Certification as
required by the Dioceses of Dallas.
Masses may be offered for the living or deceased. This tradition of the
Church applies the special fruits and graces of the Mass by the will of
the priest for the benefit of specific persons and intentions.
Father’s Day Cards and Mass offering envelopes are located in the narthex of the Church during Sunday Masses. Please fill out the offering
envelope, insert your offering and place the envelope in the collection
basket. The beautiful greeting card is yours to send.

Please contact me on my cell, 214-616-3789.
If you have any inclination to join us, we do provide fellowship,
instruction, and fun. We welcome those of you out there that
do crochet and knit and will provide materials and instuction
for those of you who might not know yet how to construct a
shawl, and, as always, it is not the product but the prayers
that are most important.
Our morning group will be taking a rest for the summer
(June, July and August). The evening group will continue to
gather June, July and August on the second Thursday of the
month(6/13, 7/11 and 8/8) at 7 pm and we are moving to
Rm 315 for the summer. As it is daylight savings time, it will
be light later and that might help some of you. Please call me
with any questions - Pat at 214-616-3789.

Carnival-Silent Auction
Teams of our Lady
Teams (Teams of our Lady)
is a group of 5-7 couples that meet monthly to share their
news, a potluck meal, prayer, and study a topic with a family/
marriage/spiritual focus. The couples form a unit that is supportive and caring, where ideas are exchanged and thoughts
are challenged. As part of an international movement recognized by the Pope, we strive to live the vocation of marriage
in a world that often does not support it. There are couples
of all ages in Teams, with and without children. If you are
interested in more information, please contact Chusi & Tom
Gehrlein at 972-393-3579 or [email protected].
SILENT AUCTION DONATIONS
Don’t miss this deduction! Income taxes got you down? Do you
need more charitable donations? Do you want to help a great
cause?
If you said yes to any of the above, the Silent Auction Committee
would love to hear from you. We have already started to collect
items for Auction and we could use your help. We are requesting
a donation of goods or services for our Silent Auction tent. The
Silent Auction raises money by auctioning off your tax-deductible
donations (i.e., tickets to a big event, hunting trip, use of a time
share, etc.) to the highest bidder. We would be grateful to count on
your new or continued support of this fundraising effort. Please
contact Steve Bovenzi at 972.304.2130 or email at sbovenzi@
gmail if you have any questions or to arrange for pick up/delivery
of your contribution. Thank you in advance for your consideration,
and we look forward to you being a part of our biggest Carnival
ever!

mismo.
