Denia le ha prestado su luz. Y él la plasma en cada espacio. Julio Guixeres vive en esta localidad costera de la provincia de Alicante y allí ha desarrollado gran parte de sus
proyectos. Desde el lugar donde el mar invade los cinco
sentidos, Guixeres refleja su luz en blancos luminosos o
colores radiantes, en madera o vidrio, en acero o piedra. O
en todos ellos. “Cada proyecto es diferente”. Y realmente
lo es.„ Denia has lent him its light. And it is reflected it in
each space. Julio Guixeres lives in this coastal locality on
the province of Alicante and there he has developed great
part of his projects. From the place where the sea invades
the five senses, Guixeres reflects its radiating light on
luminous whites or radiating colours, in wood or glass,
steel or stone. Or in all of them. "Each project is different".

“El diseño se palpa en la sociedad y
en el día a día”
Oficinas, restaurantes, hoteles… espacios públicos y espacios privados. Todo un universo Guixeres donde el diseño es
denominador común. Julio Guixeres habla para spaincontract de su profesión. Y su pasión. Diseño.„
Arquitecto, interiorista, paisajista,
diseñador de interiores, ¿con cuál de
las profesiones se siente más identificado? ¿cómo combina y coordina las diferentes disciplinas?
Con todas. En definitiva, para mí, todo
es diseño.
“Un creador de espacios en su espacio”, ¿qué concepto define el Espacio
Guixeres?
Es un espacio multidisciplinar en el que
lo realmente importante es el diseño. Nos
gusta lo que hacemos y eso se refleja en
nuestros proyectos.
Espacio público y espacio privado.
¿De qué forma diferencia el interiorismo la exposición y la privacidad?
Son muy diferentes. En un espacio público, tenemos más libertad para la creatividad, y en un espacio privado, debemos
tener siempre en cuenta al cliente, la persona que tiene que habitar ese espacio.
¿Existe un estilo Guixeres?
No hay un estilo definido. Creo que cada
proyecto y cada cliente son diferentes, y
por lo tanto todos los proyectos son diferentes.
Hablemos de proyectos. ¿Cuál considera que fue el encargo con el que despegó su carrera?
Fue un restaurante en Denia, de dos
plantas, ubicado en la Urbanización La
Sella. El cliente fue Hans Portzgen, un
amigo íntimo, y disfruté mucho. Vivía allí,
prácticamente.
¿Cuál es ese proyecto que le hubiera
gustado realizar?
El próximo. Todos los nuevos proyectos
me motivan. Ahora en concreto estamos
diseñando mobiliario para una empresa y
estamos muy ilusionados.
¿De qué material no podría prescindir en un diseño de interiores?
De la madera, el vidrio, el acero, la piedra natural. Todos son importantes.
¿Qué criterios baraja en la elección
de proveedores y productos que decoren sus espacios?
La calidad es lo más importante. Eso
marca mucho la elección, y después, la
seriedad es otro de los factores importantes.
¿Se considera seguidor de las tendencias o prefiere innovar y buscar
soluciones diferentes?
No seguimos ninguna tendencia. Es evidente que influyen en el mobiliario, la iluminación o los objetos que colocamos en
nuestros proyectos, pero nada más.
Ha participado en todas las ediciones
de Casa Decor Valencia, ¿cómo valora
la experiencia?, ¿qué le ha aportado
esta prestigiosa exposición?
Nos ha ayudado a investigar y a desarrollar ideas que eran difíciles de plasmar en
los proyectos y nos ha servido para disfrutar mucho de diseñar.
¿Nota alguna diferencia en la manera actual de vivir el diseño respecto de
sus comienzos?
Creo que en líneas generales seguimos
viviendo el diseño de la misma manera,
aunque cada día más está palpable en la
sociedad y en el día a día.
A la hora de escoger sus proyectos,
¿tiene predilección por algún espacio
en concreto?
No. Me gusta ir cambiando. Hace que
tengamos que ir aprendiendo todos los
días.

we have more freedom for the creativity,
and in a private space, we must always consider the client, the person who has to live
in that space.
Does a Guixeres style exist?
There is no a defined style. I believe that
each project and each client are different,
and therefore all the projects are different.
Let us speak of projects, Which project do you think made your career take
off?
It was a restaurant in Denia, on two floors, located in the La Sella Complex. The
client was Hans Portzgen, an intimate
friend, and I enjoyed it a lot. I practically
used to live there.
What project would you like to
make?
The next one. All the new projects motivate me. Now we are designing furniture
moving for a company and we are very
excited.
What material can you not do
without when you design an interior?
Wood, glass, steel, the natural stone. All
are important.
What criteria do you consider in the
selection of suppliers and products that
their spaces decorate?
Quality is most important. That influences selection a great deal, and later professionalism is another of the important factors.
Do you consider yourself a follower
of trends or do you prefer to innovate
and to look for different solutions?
We did not follow any trend. It is evident
that it influences furniture, lighting or the
objects that we place in our projects, but
nothing else.
Have you participated in all the editions of House Decor Valencia? How do
you value the experience?
It has helped us to research and to develop ideas that were difficult to reflect in the
projects and it has allowed us to enjoy
design a lot.
Have you noticed some difference in
the current way of experiencing design
with respect to its beginnings?
I believe that in main lines we continue
living design in the same way, although it is
more palpable each day in society and in
the day to day.
At the time of choosing your projects,
do you have a preference for some particular space?
No. I like to go along with the changes.
It forces us to learn every day.
In the space that your Web Page
dedicates to art factory we observe
objects which they merge art and functionality. Design is art or technique?
I believe that the two things are important, and that both should be reflected in
the projects.
The perfect interior design is that
which apart from decorating also?
Causes emotion.„

these professions do you most identify?
With all. Really, for me, everything is
design.

Space?
It is a multidisciplinary discipline where
the really important thing is the design. We
like what we do and that is reflected in our
projects.
