Over 20 years ago Sister Camille of The Children’s Diagnostic Center in Pompano Beach
approached St. Vincent Church requesting
Christmas gifts for patients and their families.
Ever since then, as Christmas approaches, we
get a list of names and families. Each family
has at least 1 child with HIV or AIDS. A large
share of these children are born with the disease. Some
have now reached their teenage years and are having a
difficult time coping with their illness. Most have only a
mother, grandmother, or aunt to care for them.
Please be an Angel and take an envelope from the
tree and return it by December 13 with cash, a gift
card from Walmart or Target or a check made out to
St. Vincent Church marked “Angel Tree” for $20.00
or more. Thank you for your help.

has blessed us with many generous people. It is because of your generosity that we have been able to continue providing for the needs of our
Christian community. For this reason I
would like to express my gratitude for
the generosity of all of you and I pray to
God that He grant many blessings for you and your family.
We are now in the process of getting the permits to
renew the exterior of the church, to build new restrooms
and a new religious store. We hope to be able to start soon.
The total cost for the renewal of the church will be
$700,000.00. There is also a need to redo our parking lot,
keeping in mind especially the needs for the handicapped.
We should be able to meet the goal of the first part of
the renovation of the church without a special campaign.
But we would like to take advantage of this opportunity to
invite everyone to make a special effort to increase their
weekly donations.
First, we would like everyone to make use of the envelopes.
It is your gift to God and it should come wrapped. Secondly, have you ever thought of tithing? (giving a percentage of
your income to God every week?). Thirdly, we would like
to encourage you to increase your weekly donation of $2.00
($8.00 monthly); or $3.00 ($12,00 monthly); or $4.00
($16.00 monthly); or $5.00 ($20.00 monthly).
There will be some volunteers that are going to speak
to the whole community about this. We invite you to open
your heart and to respond generously. I am sure that the
blessings that you’ll receive from God will be greater than
your generosity.

causa de sua generosidade que
temos sido capazes de continuar
suprindo às necessidades da nossa
comunidade cristã. Por esta razão,
gostaria de expressar a minha
gratidão pela generosidade de
todos vocês, e peço a Deus que Ele conceda muitas
bênçãos para você e sua família.
Estamos agora no processo de obter as licenças
para renovar o exterior da igreja, construir novos
banheiros e uma nova loja religiosa. Esperamos
começar em breve. O custo total para a renovação da
Igreja será de $700,000.00. Há também uma
necessidade de refazer o estacionamento, tendo em
conta especialmente as necessidades para os deficientes.
Cumpriremos a meta da primeira parte da

Diagnósticos para Crianças em Pompano Beach, veio até a Igreja São Vicente solicitando presentes de Natal
para os pacientes e suas famílias.
Desde então, como se aproxima o Natal, temos uma lista de nomes e
famílias. Cada família tem, pelo

doença. Alguns já chegaram na sua adolescência e
estão enfrentando momentos difíceis com a doença.

Hace más de 20 años la hermana Camille del
Centro de Diagnóstico para niños en Pompano
Beach se acercó a la Iglesia San Vicente solicitando regalos de Navidad para los pacientes y
sus familias. Desde entonces, cuando se acerca la
Navidad, ya tenemos una lista de familias que
esperan por sus regalos. Cada familia tiene por lo menos 1
niño con HIV o SIDA. Una gran parte de estos niños nacen
con la enfermedad. Algunos ya han llegado a su adolescencia y están teniendo algunas dificultades para hacer frente a
su enfermedad. La mayoría de ellos sólo cuentan con un
fami liar (madre-abuela-tía) que los cuide. Se un ángel y
toma un sobre del árbol y devuélvelo antes del 13 de diciembre con dinero en efectivo, una gift card (Walmart
o Target) o un cheque hecho a St. Vincent (en memo poner Angel Tree) por valor de $20.00 o más. Gracias por
su ayuda.
