Experiencing USA 2012 Presidential Election es un
programa organizado por el Máster en Comunicación
Política e Institucional del Instituto Universitario de Investigación Ortega y Gasset con la participación de docentes del Emerson College de Boston,
y de IDI (International Diplomacy Institute).
La participación en este Workshop, conduce a la obtención del Diploma Political Campaign Communication and The Presidential Election emitido por el
Communication Studies Dept. del Emerson College.
COMPETENCIAS
La metodología de análisis, estrategias y técnicas adecuadas para la evaluación y gestión de
proyectos exitosos de Comunicación Política y
Campañas.
Herramientas para la investigación, diseño e
implementación de tácticas de manejo de riesgo
para prevenir y resolver crisis para salvaguardar la reputación de la organización o entidades.
La creación, gestión y motivación de equipos
para llevar a cabo proyectos eficaces de comunicación estratégica en la arena de la diplomacia pública utilizando los medios de comunicación tradicionales y emergentes.
Los conocimientos básicos necesarios para un
liderazgo eficaz en la gestión de la comunicación dentro de la dinámica campaña de comunicación política en un contexto multicultural.
Tácticas y técnicas que se realizan dentro de
la cultura organizacional a través de los principios de la Comunicación Política.

Joe BATTENFELD, Political Editor - Fox 25.
Derek BECKWITH, President - Beckwith Public Relations Group
and Adjunct Instructor - Emerson College. Derek Beckwith is
president of Beckwith Public Relations Group, a fullservice media relations and strategic communications firm.
Michael A. BROWN, Assistant Professor - Emerson College. He
teaches at Northeastern University (Introduction to Political Science), Boston College (Civil Rights), Bunker Hill
Community College (Business Law) and the Massachusetts
School of Law (Civil Rights)
Art COHEN, is an independent producer, writer and reporter
at WBZ Radio.
Linda GALLANT, is the Graduate Program Director and Assistant Professor at Emerson College. She is published in Personal and Ubiquitous Computing, Academic Exchange Quarterly, Qualitative Research Reports in Communication, First
Monday, and e-Service Journal.
Marsha DELLA-GIUSTINA, has had a long career as a television news producer. Among her honors are a Gracie Award, a
National Commendation Award from American Women in Radio
and Television, and awards from the National Education
Writers Association and the National Association of Government Communicators.
Shellie KARABELL, Accomplished broadcast journalist and
writer. She spent over 20 years working for PBS, ABC, and
CNBC in Europe and is known for her coverage of the collapse of Communism in Eastern Europe.
Mohamed KHALIL, Mohamed Khalil is a graduate of Kennedy
School of Government at Harvard University. He was one of
the founders of Saudi-American Exchange.
Mark LECCESE, Assistant Professor - Emerson College. Mr.
Leccese spent almost 30 years covering politics and government as a wire service reporter.
Michael MACKLIN, is a veteran reporter in New England, having worked as a correspondent in Boston, FOX News New York,
GMTV London, NBC Washington. He has achieved various Emmys
for reporting and lectures frequently at universities in
the US.
David PALEOLOGOS, Suffolk University Professor David Paleologos, political pollster and director of the University’s Political Research Center.
Emmanuel E. (Manny) PARASCHOS, Professor - Emerson College.
He is the author of several books the most recent of which
is Media Law and Regulation in the European Union (Iowa
State University Press, 1998).
Gregory PAYNE, Associate Professor – Emerson College. He is
Director of the Center for Ethics in Political and Health
Communication, which he co-founded in 1996.
John SHATTUCK, John Shattuck is Chief Executive Officer of
the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, He is the author of
Freedom on Fire: Human Rights Wars and America’s Response

Jonathan SATRIALE, Journalism Technology Manager. Jonathan
"Satch" Satriale is an award-winning video journalist who
is currently the Journalism Technology manager at Emerson
College.
Carole SIMPSON, After 24 years, 3-time Emmy-award winning
anchor and senior correspondent, Carole Simpson, retired
from ABC News in 2006 to become Leader-in-Residence at Emerson College's School of Communication in Boston.
Michael WEILER, Associate Professor - Emerson College. His
research has appeared in Argumentation and Advocacy, Informal Logic, and the Quarterly Journal of Speech, and he has
co-authored a collection of essays on the rhetoric of
Ronald Reagan.
Rick RENDON, co-founder and Senior Partner of The Rendon
Group, Inc. (TRG),
Philip J. MAGGI, has been in Washington for nearly 15years, building a strong reputation as a lawyer, lobbyist
and business/policy advisor who helps his clients develop
and implement effective government affairs strategies.
David CALUSDIAN, VP of Investor Relations, Cheryl Merrill
and Associates. He is frequently quoted on IR and communications topics by national newspapers and magazines.
Dr. Rob BROWN, Salem State College- speech writer. He is
the author of a number of critical studies of public relations history and theory, and is a member of the editorial
board of the Public Relations Review (Elsevier) and Public
Relations Inquiry (Sage).
