 QUINCENA DE CULTURA NORUEGA CONTEMPORÁNEA EN LA LAGUNA 2014. Norwegian Cultural Fortnight in La Laguna 2014. Del 3 al 16 Noviembre de 2014. PRESENTACIÓN. MARÍA JOSÉ CASTAÑEDA, CONCEJALA DE CULTURA Y PRESIDENTA DEL ORGANISMO AUTÓNOMO DE ACTIVIDADES MUSICALES DEL AYUNTAMIENTO DE LA LAGUNA. Estimados amigos, como Concejala de Cultura y Presindenta del Organismo Autónomo de Actividades Musicales del Ayuntamiento de La Laguna (Tenerife), es un placer comunicarme con usted para informarle sobre las actividades de la I Quincena de Cultura Noruega Contemporánea en La Laguna 2014. Una iniciativa del Organismo Autónomo de Cultura del Ayuntamiento de La Laguna que pretende dar a conocer a la ciudadanía del municipio y de la isla de Tenerife los múltiples matices de la rica cultura noruega contemporánea y los importantes lazos que unen ambos territorios. Una gran oportunidad para aproximarnos de primera mano a la creación, el pensamiento y las tendencias artísticas del país nórdico y para conectar nuestras realidades culturales y sociales a través de las artes escénicas, la danza, la música, las artes plásticas, la literatura, el cine, el diseño, la gastronomía y el contacto con la amplia comunidad noruega en Tenerife. Le adjunto este dossier con la programación y le invitamos a participar y disfrutar de las actividades diseñadas para estas primeras jornadas de acercamiento, conocimiento y cultura entre nuestros pueblos amigos. Esta iniciativa está sufragada por el Gobierno de Noruega y por el Organismo Autónomo de Actividades Musicales del Ayuntamiento de La Laguna. Dear Mr./Ms., It is an honour for me, as president of the local culture's authority and La Laguna Culture Councillor, to invite you to our first Norwegian Cultural Fortnight in La Laguna 2014, a contemporary culture exchange project developed to make known to the citizens from La Laguna and Tenerife the diverse and rich aspects of contemporary norwegian culture and the important bonds which links both lands. A great opportunity to approach the best of creation, thought and artistic movements and to conect our cultural and social reality through theatre, dance, music, fine arts, literature, cinema, design, gastronomy and the real contact with the large norwegian comunity in Tenerife. Marianne jobber som danser, koreograf og performer med base i Oslo. Hun er skapende og utøvende danser og scenekunstner utdannet fra Skolen for Samtidsdans i 2002. Som utøver og medskaper har hun vært involvert i flere årelange samarbeid med ulike koreografer/regissører, blant andre Karstein Solli siden 2003-­‐ og Henriette Pedersen 1999-­‐
2009. Down in the moss, human! A performance elegy on loss, death and friendship 8 NOV LIV NOME/ VARDE + ORIGAMI REPUBLIC. Rock + DJ. Ermita San Miguel. The styles from which VARDE's sound takes form include soft dreamy pop to rock, punk, metal, world and classical music. VARDE likes to explore the Sounds of Nature, to bring up roots from nordic chanting and world improvisation. Varde started playing in summer 2006, at Solbukta, Nesodden -­‐ Norway. Liv invited guitarist Sigmund and percussionist Kjell to record some samples and do some jamming together. When Tor came along half a year later, his additional drumming felt like it was done together with the other three of us live at Solbukta. Synchronicity! We were VARDE. We decided to use Liv's label 'BPS Productions' (Beautiful People Society Productions) to release our cabin-­‐made music. Our recordings are distributed by Phpnpfile/Artspages Norway. The styles from which our sound takes form include soft dreamy pop to rock, punk, metal, world and classical music -­‐ all experimental, jazzy, shifting and moving. We want to explore and make the Sounds of Nature. In our way we play thunder and lightning, the glorious sun and universe, open and narrow landscapes, rain, cycles of the year, silent rivers, birds singing and human nature. The magical aspect of nature is present. 13 NOV EIRIK RAUDE. Música clásica contemporánea. Ermita de San Miguel. Norwegian percussionist Eirik Raude has won several prizes for his performances and has premiered more than 60 works. He has been soloist with orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic and Los Angeles Symphony, and worked with composers such as Erlend Skomsvoll, Sofia Gubaidulina, Eivind Buene, Mark Adderley. He has made many collaborations with other forms of art, such as video art, contemporary ballet and theatre, and he likes to explore new technologies; with Boya Bøckmann, Kolbenstvedt & Ossavy, Ursound, DansDesign and more. The most recent project is a concert exploring sound in rooms; Horisonter, with Arve Henriksen. In 2005, his first solo CD was released to great critical acclaim. Eirik Raude made his percussion studies at the Norwegian Academy of Music, Rotterdam Conservatorium and Yale University, and he has teached percussion at Barratt-­‐Due Institute, the Norwegian Academy of Music, Tromsø International Percussion course, as well as masterclasses. He alse worked 10 years as a percussionist in the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. 14 NOV OSSAVY& KOLBENSTVEDT. BIOS. Teatro. Escuela de Actores de Canarias. BIOS es una reflexión escénica-­‐sónica, el rendimiento de meditación auditiva y visual con el proyector biedøden en todo el mundo. BIOS es la vida, de transformación, de escuchar el sonido de las hojas en el viento y lo que las abejas desapareciendo tratando de decirnos. BIOS es un intento de entender y relacionarse artísticamente a un Eco-­‐crisis tan grande que puede parecer fácil paralizante. BIOS forma parte de una etapa de la trilogía de crisis, junto con TODAVÍA EN SILENCIO y SE. En la versión original de la caja de Teatro Negro, cooperamos con las Voces Ensemble Vocal de renombre internacional nórdicos y percusionista Eirik Raude. En el escenario también era violonchelista Tove Erikstad y actriz Nina Ossavy.
