Tras 4 años en La Casa de Las Conchas nos mudamos a una sala
mítica de la ciudad, el Cvm Laude. Esta nueva disposición ha permitido al Festival realizar una programación cargada de directos
en la que podremos encontrar una oferta ecléctica y heterogénea
que reúne a grandes artistas nacionales e internacionales que
nos harán descubrir el hip hop, soul, house, dubstep, techno,
skweee, jazz, soul, funky, punk… de última generación.
El Festival apuesta por los nuevos talentos emergentes de nuestra región creando un programa de teloneros que compartirán
escenario con los artistas invitados, cada noche.
After 4 years in the Casa de Las Conchas we are moving to a
mythical hall of the city, the Cvm Laude. This new situation has
allowed us to be able to have a program full of live performances
where we can find eclectic and heterogenic proposals which bring
together great national and international artists that will help us
discover the latest generation of hip hop, soul, house, dubstep,
techno, skweee, jazz, soul, funky, punk…
The Festival is committed to the new emerging talents of our region,
creating a program of supporting where they will share the stage
with special guest artists, every night.

Una de las mayores estrellas de la música electrónica francesa
y con un talento desbordante, Joakim Bouazziz siempre ha estado rodeado de música. En su adolescencia descubrió el rock
independiente y la electrónica menos complaciente a través
de sellos como Warp y Mo’ Wax. Con muchas referencias al
jazz de los 60, manipula la electrónica de una manera original y
refrescante. En esta ocasión viene con banda y a lo loco.
One of the biggest stars of French electronic music and with
overwhelming talent, Joakim Bouazziz has always been
surrounded by music. During his adolescence he discovered
less indulgent independent rock and electronic music though
labels like Warp y Mo’ Wax. With many references to jazz from
the 60s, he manipulates electronic music in an original and
refreshing way. This time he is accompanied by his band and in
a wild way.

Dälek es una de las mejores bandas de hip-hop de nuestro tiempo, posee un estilo oscuro y ruidoso, hecho a veces sampleando
bases de instrumentos atípicos en la música hip hop. Su música
puede ser descrita como trip hop, glitch-hop o metal-shoegazehop. Con su último álbum, Gutter Tactics, ponen en el punto de
mira a la esencia del hip-hop mezclando otros estilos que van
desde el jazz hasta la música electrónica.
Dälek is one of the best hip-hop groups of our times, with a dark
and noisy style which is often constructed through sampling
and a musical base atypical of most hip-hop. Their music can
be described as trip hop, glitch-hop or metal-shoegaze-hop.
In their latest album, Gutter Tactics, they put emphasis on the
essence of hip-hop mixed with other styles that range from jazz
to electronic music.

Una de esas joyitas que esconde la ciudad de Salamanca es, sin duda, Mano de Santo. Esta formación de pop experimental con una intención musical única, inaudita y extravagante logró que su trabajo fuera apoyado por un sello
de culto como es Austrohúngaro (Barcelona) y de ahí a actuar en el Primavera Sound y a telonear a Fangoria hubo un
paso. Todo un orgullo contar con ellos en el escenario de CVM Sonic.
One of the gems that the city of Salamanca hides is, without a doubt, Mano de Santo. This experimental pop group
with unique musical sound, unprecedented and extravagant, has gained the support of the cult label Austrohúngaro
(Barcelona) and have gone on to perform in Primavera Sound and as the opening act for Fangoria. We are proud to

hace dos años en un concierto. Un día Álex estaba buscando compañero de
piso y del pásame la sal, mira que ritmo he hecho, no tengo dinero, ven conmigo a bailar, nació esta formación que hace música sin etiquetas o con todas
ellas: pim, pam, pum. En esto están para molar y… “sí, nena, son ellos”.
Diploide, Nacho (Digital Boyz, One Love) and Álex (Garbanzo), met two years
ago at a concert. One day Álex was looking for a flat mate and from passing
the salt to look at the rhythm I have come up with, I don’t have any money,
come dance with me, this group was born which makes music without labels
or with all of them: pim, pam, pum. They are in this to be cool and …“yeah

UVE se crió escuchando hip-hop, soul y acid-house y una vez que fue consciente de todo lo que podía hacer a los
platos se embarcó en una aventura que le ha llevado a tocar por numerosos festivales. El boca a boca y el éxito de
su proyecto paralelo chinatown le han convertido, según la revista Rockdelux, en uno de los mejores dj´s españoles
del 2008.
UVE was brought up listening to hip-hop, soul and acid-house and once he was conscious of everything that he
could do on the turntable, he went on an adventure that has led him to participate in numerous festivals. Word of
mouth and the success of his parallel Chinatown project have converted him, according to Rockdelux magazine,
into one of the best Spanish DJs of 2008.

The mutant turtles left their ninja weapons aside long ago to substitute them with black music and broken rhythms in

Olli Jones es el niño prodigio del dubstep británico: a los
20 años cambió el rumbo de la adormecida escena londinense con un disco que hizo furor entre los amantes de los

Olli Jones is the prodigy boy of the British dubstep: at 20 years of age he changed the direction of the sleepy London
scene with an album that was all the rage among the followers of Jamaican sounds. Despite his youth, he has signed
with the label of Kode9 and his album Skream! has been able to wake up the general public, catching the attention of
the critics as well, offering a good mix of sinister dub with techno and minimal touches.

Selected among hundreds to represent Spain in the Red Bull Music Academy, his live performances are a fusion of
hardcore energy and free improvisation from the jazz school of Chicago, moving away from the classic laptop concert.

The Glimmers es un dúo de dj’s de Bélgica, que han evolucionado de la mano de la música electrónica sin quedarse

favoritos en Europa. No es de extrañarse que al oírlos los
asocien con el proyecto de 2 Many DJ’s dado que vienen de
la misma ciudad y tienen algunos elementos similares.
The Glimmers is a DJ duo from Belgium, which has
evolved by the hand of electronic music without
being stuck in techno and house from the 90’s. Their
entertaining mix of electro, hip hop, pop and acid
house make them the favorite in Europe. It is not

Hot Chip es una conocida banda británica de electropop que
durante los últimos años no ha dejado de recibir reverencias

talento para sets de techno/electro, Felix también realiza mixes

the last few years has received reverences from the general

Overlapper es resultado de la investigación en visualización de redes sociales del grupo VisUsal. La visualización de redes y grupos, más allá de su contenido
científico, ofrece un valor estético por su combinación
de movimiento, formas y colores de manera orgánica
que se exhibirá durante la sesión de Luke’s Anger.
Overlapper is the result of the investigation in the visualization of social networks by the group, VisUsal. The
visualization of networks and groups, beyond the scientific content, offers an aesthetic value for its combination
of movement, forms and colors in an organic way which will be shown during the session of Luke’s Anger.

MoiraNetwork nace dentro del taller LPCI Usal con la idea de capturar las relaciones entre conceptos
mediante Internet, combinando análisis de texto con estética visual. El resultado son redes animadas, que se
aplicarán a ideas de Hudson Mo’ para su exhibición en forma de proyecciones.
MoiraNetwork was born in the LPCI Usal workshop with the idea of capturing the relationships between
concepts through the internet, combining text analysis with visual aesthetics. As a result, the animated networks
will be applied to the ideas of Hudson Mo’, being shown as projections.

Dos de las noches más especiales de la programación del CVM Sonic
estarán apoyadas por el trabajo visual de la empresa Tweteers, que
empleará su Martin RGB Laser 1.6. para crear una atmósfera subterránea
y envolvente que nos permitirá introducirnos en el oscuro mundo dubstep
de Skream y en la que será la sesión de cierre del Festival, la noche de
Hot Chip Dj Set.
Two of the most special nights of the CVM Sonic program will be supported by the visual work of the company,
Tweteers, which will use their Martin RGB Laser 1.6. to create a subterranean and enveloping atmosphere that
will allow us to enter the dark dubstep world of Skream and which will be the closing session of the Festival,
the night of the Hot Chip DJ Set.
