Gardenplotsareforgrowingvegetables,fruits,andsomeflowers.
• GardenplotsmustbeplantedbytheSundayafterMother’sDay.
• Theuseofchemicalweedkillers(herbicides)andpesticidesareprohibited.
• Gardenplotsmustbeusedtotheirfullcapacity-ifyouaregivenafullplotyoumust
plantintheentireplot.Ifyoudonotusetheentireplotyouwillbeaskedtosharewith
anothergardener.
• Gardenersareresponsibleforthecareandmaintenanceoftheirplotandthegarden
spaceasawhole.Gardenersmaygrowandcareforflowersandotherdecorativeplants
inthegardenspacewithapprovalfromtheGardenLeadership.
• Gardenersmayharvestfromtheirplotonly,unlessarrangementshavebeenmade
withanothergardenerandtheGardenLeadership.
• Gardenplotsshouldbecaredforatleastonceaweek.Itisthegardener’s
responsibilitytonotifytheGardenLeadershipifs/heisnotabletocarefortheirplotin
anyweek.Ifaplotremainsunattendedformorethan3weeksthatplotmaybegivento
someoneonthewaitinglist.
• Conservewater.Donotfloodyourplot,anddonotwaterotherplotsunlessyouare
asked.
• Attheendofthegrowingseason(bythefirstSundayinDecember),gardenersmust
cleartheirplotofallplantmaterialandleavethebedastheyfounditatthebeginning
ofthegrowingseason,unlesstheyhavemadepriorarrangementswiththeGarden
Leadership.
• Eachgardenerwillbegivenonekeytothegarden,andareresponsibleforlocking
thegatewhentheyleave.Ifyouloseyourkeyyouwillbechargedat$25replacement
fee.
• GardenersmustattendEverettCommunityGrowersmeetingsatleasttwotimesa
year(onceatthebeginningoftheseasonandonceattheendoftheseason),and
participateintheend-of-theyearevaluation,tosupportongoinggardenefforts.
• Allworkmustbeperformedduringdaylighthours.
• Noillegalplantscanbeplantedorbroughttothecommunitygarden.
• Petsarenotpermittedinthegardenarea.
• Childrenarewelcomeinthegardenbutmustbeaccompaniedbyanadultandmust
besupervisedatalltimes.
• TheGardenLeadershipisresponsibleforensuringthattheserulesarefollowed.
• Violationsofanyoftheserulesmayresultinlosingyourplotandyour$10
deposit.
