PAJAMA TOP A, B
9. Clip neck edge of facing to stitching along curve.
With RIGHT sides together, pin facing to garment, matching
centers back and shoulder seams.
Stitch front and neck edges. Trim seam; clip curves.
1. Stay-stitch front and back neck edges 1/2" (1.3cm) from cut
edge in direction of arrows.
This stitching stays in permanently and helps prevent
stretching on curved edges.
Stay-stitching will not be shown in the following illustrations.

2. Press under 1/4" (6mm) on upper edge of pocket.
Turn upper edge to OUTSIDE along fold line, forming facing.
Stitch along seam line on raw edges; trim to 1/4" (6mm).

3. Turn facing to INSIDE, turning under raw edges along
stitching; press.
Stitch facing close to inner edge.
10. To understitch press facing away from garment; press seam
toward facing. Facing side up, stitch close to seam through
facing and seam allowances as far as possible.

To keep the facing from rolling to OUTSIDE, secure it at the
seam allowances by tacking it by hand, stitching in the ditch
or using a small piece of fusible web.

4. On OUTSIDE, pin pocket to LEFT or RIGHT front placing
upper corners at large dots.
Stitch close to side and lower edges.

5. Stitch front to back at shoulder seams.
12. With RIGHT sides together, pin sleeve to armhole edge with
center small dot at shoulder seam, matching remaining small
dots.
Stitch. Stitch again 1/8" (3mm) from first stitching.

following manufacturer’s directions.
With RIGHT sides together, stitch facing to collar, leaving
notched edges open.
Trim seam; clip curves.

Press seam toward sleeve.

13. Pin front to back at entire underarm seam, matching armhole
seams and large dots. Stitch seam from large dot to edge of
sleeve.
Back-stitch at large dot to reinforce seam.

Machine-baste raw edges together.
Clip neck edge of garment to stay-stitching.
On OUTSIDE, pin collar (facing side) to neck edge, matching
centers back, placing small dot at shoulder seam and ends at
large dot on front. Baste.
SLEEVE BANDS A
8. Apply fusible interfacing to WRONG side of front and back
facing sections.
Fuse following manufacturer’s directions.
Stitch shoulder seams of facing sections.
Machine-stitch 1/2" (1.3cm) from neck edge of facing. To
EDGE FINISH unnotched edge...stitch 1/4" (6mm) from
edge, turn under along stitching and stitch OR zig-zag over
the edge OR overlock/serge over the edge.

14. Apply fusible interfacing to WRONG side of sleeve band
sections following manufacturer’s directions.

it’s inserted, use fusible web or machine-basting to anchor
them to garment within the casing area. Be sure to remove
basting after casing is finished.

Press under 1/4" (6mm) on raw edge.
Stitch hem in place starting at opening edge.
Press under 5/8" (1.5cm) on slit opening edges.
Press under 1/4" (6mm) on raw edge; stitch, squaring
stitching above opening.

5. Press 1-1/2" (3.8cm) on upper edge to INSIDE, forming
casing.
Press under 1/4" (6mm) on raw edge.
Stitch close to lower edge of casing, leaving an opening to
insert elastic.

along finished edge of garment, matching centers, as shown.
Transfer buttonhole markings to garment.
Make buttonholes at markings.
Lap fronts, matching centers.
Sew buttons under buttonholes.

6. Cut a piece of elastic to fit waist, plus 1" (2.5cm).
Insert elastic through casing.
Overlap ends and hold with a safety pin.
Try on garment and adjust to fit.

la guía a lo largo del borde terminado de la prenda, casando los
centros, como se muestra. Transfiera las marcas para los ojales en la
prenda. Haga los ojales en las marcas. Cruce los frentes, casando los
centros. Cosa los botones debajo de los ojales.

1. Cosa el frente en la parte trasera por las costuras interiores de las
piernas.
2. DERECHO CON DERECHO, prenda con alfileres la costura del centro
casando las costuras interiores de las piernas y las muescas. Cosa.

formar la jareta. Planche un doblez de 1/4" (6mm) en el borde no
terminado. Cosa cerca del borde inferior de la jareta, dejando una
abertura para insertar el elástico.
6. Corte un pedazo de elástico a la medida de la cintura más 1" (2.5cm).
Inserte el elástico en la jareta. Cruce los extremos y manténgalos con
un imperdible. Pruébese la prenda y ajústela.
7. Cosa juntos los extremos del elástico firmemente. Cierre la abertura
cosiéndola. Distribuya la amplitud uniformemente. Quite el hilván.
CONSEJO - Para fijar el elástico de tal manera que no se enrolle con el
uso, cosa a través de todos los espesores de la jareta en el surco de las
costuras.
BANDAS DE LAS PIERNAS A
8. Coloque la entretela adhesiva en el REVÉS des las secciones de la
banda de la pierna siguiendo las instrucciones del fabricante.

dobles de la banda de la pierna. Doble la banda de la pierna por la
mitad, REVÉS CON REVÉS, casando los bordes no terminados;
planche. Hilvane los bordes no terminados.
10. En el EXTERIOR, prenda con alfileres la banda en el borde de la
pierna, casando las costuras interiores de las piernas, colocando el
punto pequeño en la costura del lado y casando los bordes no
terminados. Cosa la costura. Si Ud. lo prefiera cosa los bordes no
terminados con puntadas de zig-zag, O de overlock/sobrehilado.
11. Planche la costura hacia arriba y la banda hacia el exterior.
12. En el EXTERIOR, cosa cerca de la costura de la pierna del pantalón.
