No obstante, debe tenerse muy en cuenta que el sistema proyectado debe ser amortizable, considerando tanto los beneficios directos ob-
tenidos como los indirectos.
Al plantearnos el problema de la manipulación de las mercancías (es decir, transporte, distribución, procesado,selección,clasificación, reparto, consolidación, etc.), debemos tener presente las cuestiones siguientes:
1º Mercancía a transportar: Clase de mercancía, suelta o en cajas, peso y dimensiones mínimas y máximas, etc.
2º Medios disponibles, o sea, cómo hacer el transporte: Mediante transporte discontinuo (carretillas elevadoras y similares)
o continuo (transportadores de flujo continuo).
