bieät caàu cho caùc gia ñình möøng ngaøy thaønh hoân 5 naêm cho tôùi 60 naêm. Xin haân hoan chuùc möøng caùc gia
ñình ñaõ soáng chung tình chung thuûy vôùi nhau. Vieäc trôû veà nguyeân thuûy cuûa ñôøi soáng gia ñình, theo thaùnh yù
cuûa Chuùa, nhö Ñöùc Giaùo Hoaøng Gioan Phaoloâ Ii ñaõ vieát trong tuaân huaán ñôøi soáng Gia Ñình, laø moät ñoøi hoûi

Dear Parishioners of Our Lady of La Vang,
First, we would like to express our special thanks to all of you who have donated your talents and gifts to our
Church during this Christmas Season. May the Lord grant you peace love and joy in this Holy Season.
On the last Sunday of the Year, we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family. On this feast day we are offering
our own families and all their members on the altar for God’s blessing. The First reading, taken from the book
of Samuel, describes how Elkanah and Hannah presented their child Samuel in the Temple, consecrated him
to the service of the Lord as a perceptual Nazarite, and left him in the temple under the care of Eli, the Priest.
In the second reading, John reminds us that, as children of God the Father, we are members of God’s own
family, and as such we are expected to obey the greatest commandment of God : “Love one another” so that
we may remain united to God in the Holy Spirit. In today’s Gospel, St Luke concludes his detailed story of
Christ’s infancy, with the events of Jesus’ visit to the Temple in Jerusalem at the age of twelve, to become
a son of the law” and to take up the obligations of the Law. Jesus lingered behind in the Temple, attending the
Sanhedrin classes on religious and theological questions as an eager student of Mosaic Law. It was as if he
had had a blaze of realization about his Divine Sonship. The Gospel then summarizes the next 18 years of Jesus’ life stating that he grew up at Nazareth like any other young man, obeying his parents, faithfully discharging all his duties to God, to his parents and to the community and “advancing in wisdom and age and
favor before God and man.”
In celebrating the Holy Family, we need to learn lessons from the Holy Family. The Church encourages all
Christian families to look to the Holy Family for inspiration example and encouragement. Theirs was a model
family in which both parents worked hard, helped each other, understood and accepted each other as God’s
gifts, and raided their Son in human and divine wisdom. Let us pray for the grace, of caring for one another in
our families, for each member of our parish family, and for all families of the universal Church.
As we celebrate our New Year 2013 on Tuesday, together with Father Bao Thai, we wish all of you and your
families a happy, healthy and hopeful New Year. May God the author of new life keep all of us in His providential care. Happy New Year, Chuc Mung Nam Moi, Feliz Ano Nuevo.

Queridos feligreses de Nuestra Señora de La Vang,
En primer lugar, nos gustaría expresar nuestro especial agradecimiento a todos los que han donado sus talentos y dones a la Iglesia durante esta temporada de Navidad. Que el Señor les conceda paz, amor y alegría en este tiempo Santo.
El último domingo del año, se celebra la Fiesta de la Sagrada Familia. En este día de fiesta estamos ofreciendo nuestras propias familias y de todos sus miembros en el altar para la bendición de Dios. La Primera
Lectura, tomada del libro de Samuel, describe a Alcaná y Ana presentaron a su hijo Samuel en el Templo, lo
consagró al servicio del Señor y lo dejó en el Templo bajo el cuidado de Elí, el Sacerdote. En la Segunda
Lectura, Juan nos recuerda que, como hijos de Dios Padre, somos miembros de la familia de Dios y como
tal, se espera que obedezcan el mandamiento más grande de Dios: “Amaos los unos a los otros” para que
podamos permanecer unidos a Dios en el Espíritu Santo. En el Evangelio de hoy, San Lucas concluye su
relato detallado de la infancia de Cristo, con los acontecimientos de la visita de Jesús al templo de Jerusalén
a la edad de doce años, para convertirse en un hijo de la ley y para asumir las obligaciones de la ley. Jesús
se quedó atrás en el Templo, asistiendo a las clases Sanedrín sobre cuestiones religiosas y teológicas como un estudiante entusiasta de la Ley Mosaica. Era como si hubiera tenido una llamarada de conciencia
acerca de su filiación divina. El Evangelio se resumen a continuación los próximos 18 años de la vida de
Jesús diciendo que él se crio en Nazaret como cualquier otro joven, obedeciendo a sus padres, fiel cumplimiento de todos sus deberes para con Dios, a sus padres y a la comunidad y "avanzar en sabiduría, edad,
en gracia ante Dios y los hombres. "
En la celebración de la Sagrada Familia, tenemos que aprender las lecciones de la Sagrada Familia. La
Iglesia anima a todas las familias cristianas a mirar a la Sagrada Familia, como ejemplo, inspiración y aliento. La suya era una familia modelo en el que ambos padres trabajaban duro, se ayudaban mutuamente, entendido y aceptado los demás como dones de Dios, y allanaron su Hijo en la sabiduría humana y divina.
Oremos por la gracia, de cuidar unos de otros en nuestras familias, para que cada miembro de nuestra familia parroquial, y para todas las familias de la Iglesia universal.
Mientras celebramos nuestro Año Nuevo 2013 el martes, junto con el Padre Bao Thai, les deseamos a todos ustedes y a todas sus familias un feliz Año Nuevo con mucha salud y esperanza. Que el Señor el creador de la nueva vida nos cuide y nos proteja.
