THAN 11.4 MILLION EUROS
The film from Juan Antonio Bayona remains number one at the
box office in its second weekend
More than 1.7 million viewers have seen the film since its
release
Madrid, 17th October 2016.- In its second weekend in cinemas, A MONSTER
CALLS, from Juan Antonio Bayona, continues to occupy the number 1 box
office grossing more than 11.4 million euros, the best Spanish premiere of
the year with record figures. Bayona's film has been seen by more than 1.7
million viewers during its first days of release in our country.
The film, after premiering Oct. 7 has become the film event of the year, has
grossed more than 3.6 million in its second weekend, which has screened at
352 cinemas and on 629 screens, managing to maintain its premiere figures
with an estimated average € 10,368 and € 5,802 respectively. In addition, it has
managed to double the box office takings obtained by the second film in the
ranking, 'Inferno', one of the biggest releases of the weekend.
