DJ2D2 is without a doubt one of the most talked about names on the Barcelona club
scene. The secret of DJ2D2’s success is no other than an exquisite selection of beats
and breaks that have managed to leave nobody who has been at one of his sessions
indifferent. Underground hip hop (dark sounds with influences from jazz, soundtracks,
IDM for listening, and some old school together with 90´s dance sounds), reggae plus
classical as well as the latest in dub, soul, funk, jazz and Brazil in all its variants. You
just can’t go wrong.
Residences in The Powder Room @ Apolo, Lasal, Maumau, Gusto, Fonfone, Moog
or Ingenio Urbano @ Otto Zuttz, among others, endorses a 10 year-old career betting
on the more authentic and original music.
He has received deserved recogmition by the specialized press, locating him in several
occasions as best national dj.
His versatility have taken him to be chosen by Prefuse 73 (Warp) as his dj for the European shows, one of the most widey
acclaimed new producers on the international scene.
He has also performed with live bands (Llibert Fortuny Electric Quartet, The Rockdelux Experience, Ego:tRip...), electronic
musicians (Fibla, Jahbitat...) and other dj's (Griffi, Buddy Peace, Josh Brent, Mouseup...).
In June 2004, he edited his first mix CD with Sonarmusic: "Bit Street", that was received by the critic as one of the best
cd's published in Spain during 2004.
DJ2D2 offers us tracks that give us a good idea of what is in stall for us at any of his sessions.
Since January 2005, DJ2D2 is a member of the young ScannerFM (107.7FM / scannerfm.com) radio station crew and is in
charge of his own show, Bit Street, every saturday from 19h to 21h (GMT+1).
During his career he has deejayed in some of the most emblematic booths on the Barcelona scene: La Paloma, Razz, City
Hall, Dot, Cube... and has begun to be claimed beyond: London, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Seoul, Cairo, Mexico DF, Beirut, Porto,
Santiago de Chile, Neuchâtel, Lisbon... These are some places that have enjoyed his eclectic and dancing sets.
After several years spinning in the best clubs of Barcelona, David has begun to be claimed beyond our frontiers: London,
Amsterdam, Tokyo, Seoul, Cairo, Mexico DF, Beirut, Santiago de Chile, Neuchâtel, Lisbon... these are some of the places
that have enjoyed his eclectic and dancing sets.
