INFORMATIVE MEETING
La sesión informativa es la ocasión ideal para que distendidamente se informe de los acontecimientos sucedidos en nuestra urbanización, se celebra cada tres meses
y se tratan asuntos de interés de todos los propietarios. En
esta última reunión, el pasado 12 de julio, acudieron pocos propietarios, aunque también es cierto que avisamos
de la misma con solo unos días de antelación, esperamos
hacerlo mejor en próximas ocasiones. De los asuntos tratados los que mayor interés despertaron fueron:
Los relativos a la recogida de basura domestica por
parte de LIMUSA, allí mismo repartimos el formulario de
queja, iniciativa que despertó gran interés por parte de
los propietarios.
El resultado de la caseta de vigilancia de la entrada de
Avda de España.
Las gestiones realizadas para la contratación del servicio de agua en 2007.
Empadronamiento, de los casi 20.000 vecinos que el
ayuntamiento reconoce que viven en nuestra urbanización solo hay empadronados poco más de un 15%.
La próxima reunión informativa se celebrará el día
25 de octubre a las 10:30hrs. en el club La Naranja.
El tema a tratar será el nuevo contrato de agua. Esperamos la asistencia de todos.
The informative meeting is an ideal occasion to inform
about the happenings in our urbanisation. It is held every
three months and matters of general interest to all the
owners are talked about. On this occasion, 12th of July,
not many owners attended the meeting, although it is also
true that we only gave notice of this meeting a few days
beforehand, a mistake that will be corrected in the future.
The matters discussed at the meeting were mainly:

Como ustedes habrán podido comprobar los juegos
para niños que había en el parque sobre la autopista
y en el parque vivero han sido sustituidos por otros
nuevos que cumplen con la nueva normativa europea
aplicable a los juegos infantiles en la que se especifica
el tipo de juegos y los materiales con los que han de
estar construidos. En el
caso del Parque Infantil de
Av. de España nos hemos
visto en la obligación de
quitarlos. Esto se debe
a que solicitamos al
Ayuntamiento el cambio
de los mismos, y aunque
en un principio nos dijeron
que nos iban a facilitar
dichos juegos, no nos
lo han concedido. Como
este parque lo hizo el
Ayuntamiento seguimos
insistiendo para que
ellos los cambien. Recientemente se han puesto en
contacto con nosotros para pedir información sobre
el parque y presupuestar unos juegos nuevos, pero al
día de la fecha no tenemos conocimiento de que haya
tomado alguna decisión al respecto.

owners received with great interest.

ha mandado en varias ocasiones escritos a los representantes municipales y de la Junta de Andalucía. El escrito está a
su disposición en la oficina de la urbanización, por tanto pueden venir a solicitarlo o ponerse en contacto con nosotros
para que se lo enviemos por e-mail. Rogamos a todos los
propietarios que hagan un esfuerzo y pidan al ayuntamiento
una mejora de las playas, de este modo podríamos contar
con unas playas más limpias.

Basura doméstica: reclamaciones.
Al comenzar el verano el servicio de recogida de basura domestica ha resultado insuficiente o deficiente, por
ello desde la oficina de la E.U.C. se realizaron numerosas
quejas al Ayuntamiento y a la empresa LIMUSA, que es
la empresa concesionaria encargada de la recogida de
basura doméstica en el municipio. Les informamos de la
posibilidad de que, como propietarios realicen una reclamación por la deficiencia de este servicio a través de una
formulario elaborado por la oficina de la E.U.C. donde pueden reflejar el problema que sufren. Ya han sido muchos
los vecinos que han utilizado este camino y gracias a ello,
parece que el servicio está mejorando. Recientemente se
ha puesto un refuerzo, mediante un camión de recogida
que acude a nuestra urbanización por las mañanas.
Queremos recordarles que el servicio de recogida de
basura doméstica es realizado por el Ayuntamiento de
Mijas y que lo tiene subcontratado a la empresa LIMUSA,
y que pagan una tasa anual al Ayuntamiento por la recogida de la misma y otra por el tratamiento en la planta de
reciclaje. También pueden presentar sus quejas en:

En general debemos considerar que la E.U.C. Sitio de
Calahonda está muy bien gestionada y las cifras de los
últimos años nos avalan. Esto no significa que no haya
problemas o retos que solucionar y para ello debemos
de trabajar todos juntos. Si observamos el gráfico de cobros de un semestre (cuadro) podemos ver como existe
un patrón en los porcentajes de cobro de cada mes. El
análisis de este gráfico nos indica cómo gracias a las
ordenes bancarias hace que la mayoría de los cobros
se realicen en el primer mes de emisión de cuotas (Enero y Julio), esta cifra ronda normalmente el 35% de las
cuotas. Después de este primer mes los porcentajes de
cobros van disminuyendo hasta finalizar el mes 4 (Abril
y Octubre) y luego sube en los dos últimos meses para
evitar el recargo del 20%.

PENSIONER CARD
¿Conoce las ventajas de tener una tarjeta de
pensionista?
Tanto el ayuntamiento como la Junta de Andalucía ofrecen a los pensionistas unas tarjetas con las
que obtener grandes beneficios y descuentos en
viajes, gafas, audífonos, actividades organizadas
por nuestro ayuntamiento (deportes, comidas, excursiones)…
Para poder obtener estos beneficios es imprescindible estar empadronado. Si se trata de la tarjeta
que ofrece el ayuntamiento hay que llevar al departamento de servicios sociales del ayuntamiento o
al departamento de extranjeros la siguiente documentación:

Both Mijas Town Hall and the Junta de Andalucía offer
pensioners a card with which you can obtain many benefits
and discounts on public transport, trips, glasses, hearing
aids, etc. You will get discounts on the sports activities at
the Municipal Sports Centre, you will also receive discounts
on the classes organised by the Open University of Mijas,
you can enjoy a free dinner at Christmas, and once you
have been registered for more than two years and if your
pension does not exceed the limit established, you will be
able to join the yearly excursion that is organised free of
charge. To do so you have to first register on the Inhabitants
List (padron) of the Town Hall taking a copy of your rates
receipt in your name (or title deeds of the property), NIE
number / residence card or passport. You have to reside
in Mijas for a minimum of 6 months. Once you have done
this you can proceed to apply for the Pensioners Cards.
There are two different types; the one mentioned above is
issued by the third age department of the Town Hall and
another that is issued by the Andalucian Government.
To obtain the first local Card you have to take the following
documentation to the Town Hall Social Services Office
closest to your home or to the Mijas Foreign Residents
Department:

La tarjeta que expide el Gobierno Andaluz también se gestiona a través de los mismos departamentos del ayuntamiento, pero la documentación
es enviada a Sevilla al Gobierno Autónomo donde
se emiten las tarjetas y luego se envían directamente al interesado. Para obtener esta tarjeta deben
ser mayores de 65 años y presentar la siguiente
documentación:
1 foto tamaño carné
Tarjeta de residencia y fotocopia
Certificado de empadronamiento
- 2 passport size photos
- Certificate of Registration (padron)
- Residence Card
- Proof of Pension
- Rates receipt in your name.
The second card is also applied for at the Social Services
Offices or Foreigners Department, but the documentation
is sent to Seville to the Autonomous Government where
the cards are issued and then sent directly to the owners.
To obtain the card you have to be over the age of 65 and
present the following documentation:
- 1 passport size photo.
- Residence Card and copy.
- Certificate of Registration (padron)

them, don’t hesitate to contact the Mijas Foreigners
Department on telephone 952 58 90 10 or email frd@mijas.
es and they will give you more information and collect the
documentation and fill the forms in for you there.

CAMPEONATO INTERNACIONAL DE GOLF
INTERNATIONAL GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP
Por primera vez en España, los días 7 y 8 de octubre,
se celebrará el Campeonato Internacional de Pitch &
Patt, modalidad stroke play scratch, el lugar elegido por
la Federación Española de Golf ha sido el club de Golf la
Siesta, situado en la Calle José de Orbaneja en nuestra
urbanización.
For the first time in Spain, on the 7th and 8th of October, the International Pitch & Putt Championship, stroke
play scratch modality, will be held. The place chosen by
the Spanish Golf Federation is La Siesta Golf Club in
calle José de Orbaneja in our urbanisation.
