Breve descripción del curso En el desarrollo del curso se realizará una presentación de la metafísica de Avicena atendiendo a la relevancia de la misma en la historia de la metafísica medieval. En este sentido se mostrarán los elementos clave de los resultados de investigación reciente te respecto a la formación y desarrollo de la filosofía de Avicena. La elección del autor tiene que ver con el papel que cumplió como introductor en occidente de la lectura neoplatónica de la obra aristotélica, lo cual resultó una clave histórica de su introducción troducción en el mundo latino. Se realizará un seguimiento de la síntesis de la metafísica aristotélica desarrollada por Avicena en el Ilâhiyyâtdel Kitab alShifâ’,, obra que fue conocida por la tradición latina gracias a una traducción temprana a fines del siglo XII y fue citada como Philosophia Prima o Metaphysica. La metafísica aviceniana presentará tres partes: 1) ontología el estudio del ente en cuanto ente; 2) el desarrollo de una aitíología,, el estudio metafísico de la causalidad. 3) La teología natural, el estudio filosófico sobre la realidad divina. El curso seguirá esta misma estructura para presentar su desarrollo y apuntará los debates de los que Avicena es heredero, sin desatender a su vez el lugar que ocuparon sus formulaciones en las elaboraciones escolásticas de estas ideas. 2. Objetivos del curso El curso tiene por objetivo el presentar un conocimiento de la problemática de la recepción medieval de la metafísica de Aristóteles. En este sentido, en primer lugar se presentará al alumno la peculiaridad de la recepción árabe, para luego advertir su recepción latina. El alumno alcanzará un conocimiento en las complejidades de la translatiostudiorum del período medieval, en especial énfasis en la obra metafísica aristotélica. La metafísica de Avicena.
