If you would like to come and eat lunch with your scholar,
please schedule your visit with the main office 24 hours
in advance. This allows us time to ensure you can sit with
your scholar.
If you would like to visit your scholar's classroom, please
schedule your visit with the classroom teacher in
advance. As a reminder for scheduling reasons, classroom
visits are limited to 15 minutes. This policy allows us to
ensure that your visit aligns with your scholar's schedule
for the day and that we have space to accommodate your

Please bring a doctor's note if your scholar will miss
school, leave early, or come tardy for a medical reason.
Notes written by parents regarding illnesses will be
considered excused.

Please bring bereavement documentation if your scholar
will miss school for a death in the immediate family.
Authorized religious holidays are excused absences or
tardies. Please bring documentation from your place of
worship on official letterhead.
All documentation for excused absences must be
submitted to the main office within 3 school days after
the absence.

Under state law, you and your child are subject to
prosecution if your child is absent without an excuse for
ten (10) or more days or parts of days in a sbc-month
period, or three (3) or more days or parts of days in a
four-week period.
At fifteen (15) unexcused absences, the scholar may not
be promoted to the next grade.
If a scholar has 5 or more days of unexcused tardies OR
2 or more days of unexcused absences in academic
quarter they will not be allowed to go on a field trip and
participate in any special celebrations (e.g.field day and
scholar events) for that academic quarter.

In order to make-up the work that they missed while
tardy, scholars may lose recess on days that he/ she
arrives late. Ifyou scholar is tardy 2 out of 5 days of the
week they will miss their regular Wednesday Cluband
attend Tardy Club.

School Supply Information
The Uplift Pinnacle Prep office staff will accept scholars' supplies throughout the summer
break. Please review the following expectations regarding scholar supplies:
Supplies:

Supplies can be dropped off between the hours of 9am-3pm (Monday-Thursday) & 9am12pm (Friday) beginning June 1,2015 - August 3, 2015.
•
All supplies should be in a large trash bag (e.g. flex trash bag provided during PAC
meeting or can be picked up at office)
•
Bags should be tied and labeled with your scholar's first name, last name and grade
•
Supplies will be distributed to each class as they are received
•
Extra trash bags can be obtained from the front office
•
All scholar supplies should be dropped off by August 3,2015
•
All parents who drop off their school supplies before Thursday, July 30^ will be entered
into a raffle for 1 of 3 $25 gift cards and a laptop as the Grand Prize!!
•
All scholar supplies will be community supplies and be shared by the classroom. Please
do NOT label the classroom supplies unless they are the scholar's backpack and change
of clothes.

What is the Uplift Child Nutrition program?
The Child Nutrition Program (CNR) is an important part of all Upliftschools. We provide exciting, nutritious, and delicious meals to scholars
which fuel them for a full day of learning and physical activity.
Breakfast & Lunch
Uplift Education schools participate in the School Breakfast Program and National School Lunch Program. Full price meals are $1.60 for
breakfast and $2.70 for lunch. Scholars may qualify for free or reduced price meals {prices shown in table below) if your family meets the
income eligibility guidelines. Some of our campuses may provide free breakfast for our scholars. Check with your school if they participate
in this program.

be available at each campus but we encourage online application for fast processing.
Prepayments
How to make payments online!
Prepayments for meals are required for all scholars. Please review
the menus with your scholar to determine which meals they will
eat through our cafeteria. Pre-payments should be made each
month. You may also create an account for your scholar online at
www.mvschoolbucks.com. Through this system, you can monitor
your scholar's lunch balance and make deposits.
Your scholar will receive a note, emaii and/or phone call when
their account balance is low or negative. Please communicate with
your scholar and, if necessary, the campus regularly about lunch
account balances. Should you have any questions, feel free to
contact a CNP staff member at your campus. If you need further
information, please contact the Uplift CNP Compliance Manager,
Berthary Meam at the following telephone number: (469) 6218500 ext 2008, or by email at [email protected].
Beginning 2015-16 all scholars must create/re-register a

Afternoon dismissaland carlinebeginspromptly at 3:3opin for all grades EXCEPT on Wednesdays when afternoon
dismissal and carline begins promptly at 2:00pm for all grades.

Allvehicles enter the campus via the rear entrance on Heyser Drive (behind the school) and progress in 2 lines
around the building in the direction of the arrows.
Parents must remain in their cars at all times.
Car line numbers must be clearly displayed on your dash or visor at all times in order for staff to reunite scholars
and parents at dismissal.
Parents will be given 3 carline numbers at the beginning of the year. Replacement carline numbers can be
purchased for $2 each.
Parents who do not have a car-line number will be asked to park and step inside to verify they are
authorized to pick up a scholar.
Relative or ftiends who are picking up scholars must be placed on the scholar's official pick up list.
Parking in Comerica Bank is not permitted. Vehicles will be towed at the owner's expense.
No parents willbe allowedto walk in through the rear entrance gate on Heyser Drive. Anyone walkinga scholar
must enter through the front gate across from the main entrance. There willbe a staff member there to take your
scholar's pick up number.
REMINDER: Primary Scholars should be picked up no later than 4:10 PM (2:40 PM on Wednesdays). Fee is
$1.00 for every minute after 4:10 PM, 2:40 PM on Wednesdays.

Los padres deben permanecer en sus carros en todo momento.
El letrero de carline debe mostrarse claramente en el salpicadero en todo momento.
Los padres recibiran 3 letreros de carline al comienzo del ano escolar. Letreros de reemplazo se pueden
comprar per $2 cada uno.
Padres que no tienen su letrero de carline se les pedira estacionarse y entrar al edificio para
verlflcar que est^ autorizados para recoger a un estudiante.
Amigos y parientes que recogen a los estudiantes deben de ser anadidos a la lista de personas autorizadas.
