Further along the Paseo de Prado, we
find the Neptune Fountain where fans of

El 6 de marzo de 1902 se funda como
Madrid Foot Ball Club, pero 18 años
más tarde toma el nombre actual, Real
Madrid. Desde 1913 son ya conocidos
como equipo “Merengue” por vestir totalmente en blanco y en homenaje al
típico pastel madrileño. El club se ubica
en 1947 en la Castellana en pleno centro
financiero de Madrid.

The Madrid Foot Ball Club was founded
on March 6th 1902 but it took another 18
years until it took on its present name, Real
Madrid. In 1913 the team became known
as the Merengue or meringue because
of their all-white kit in homage to one of
Madrid’s traditional desserts. In 1947 the
club relocated to the Castellana, right in
the heart of Madrid’s financial district.

El Servicio de Atención al Turista Extranjero (SATE) tiene por finalidad ofrecer al
turista extranjero que visita nuestra ciudad una asistencia personalizada tras
ser victima de un delito o sufrir cualquier
experiencia traumática. Dicha asistencia
se presta a través de policías y personal
especializado del Patronato de Turismo de
Madrid y del Cuerpo Nacional de Policía.
/ The Foreign Tourist Assistance Services
(SATE) offer foreign tourists visiting Madrid
specialized assistance should they fall victim to a crime or undergo some other type
of traumatic event. Assistance is given by
specially trained personnel from the Madrid Tourist Board and by police officers
from the National Police Force.
