Abstract: progress in humanoid robot control requires the inclusion of many kinds of sensors. For this reason, the significance of gathering a large number of signals from such a full collection of different sensors becomes a central problem. Moreover, it can be very suitable, both for facilitating the development stages of the prototypes and for the tele-operation or remote monitoring of the robots, to build up an easy to use graphical interface for displaying relevant information concerning the full robot status. In this paper, a real-time multi-sensor monitoring system along with a human-machine interface software developed for the SILO2 humanoid robot are presented, and their use for a better and deeper understanding of the robot behavior are also discussed. Keywords: multi-sensor monitoring system, real-time operating system, teleoperation, human-machine interface, humanoid robot.
