ACCESSIBILITY
Alicante, ciudad ubicada a la orilla del Mar Mediterráneo, se
encuentra perfectamente comunicada tanto por tierra como
por aire y mar.
Alicante is located on the shores of the Mediterranean
Sea and has excellent transport links by air, sea and
land.
Cuenta con el Aeropuerto Internacional El Altet - Alicante,
situado a tan solo 10 minutos del centro urbano, con vuelos
tanto nacionales como internacionales, regulares y chárter.
Además, el aeropuerto está continuamente comunicado con
la ciudad a través de la línea de autobús C-6.
El Altet–Alicante International Airport is just ten minutes from
the city centre and manages both regular and charter national
and international flights. The airport also has non-stop links to
the city via the C-6 bus route.
La estación de tren, situada en el centro de la ciudad, comunica
Alicante con trenes de media y larga distancia diariamente.
The train station is situated in the heart of the city with daily
long and mid-distance train services connecting Alicante with
the rest of Spain and Europe.
A tan solo 5 minutos de la estación de tren se encuentra
la estación de autobuses. Cuenta con líneas regulares
internacionales de viajeros con Europa y líneas regulares
frecuentes con la provincia y resto de España.

Here, regular international routes take travellers to Europe
and frequent regular routes connect the city with other points
in the province and the rest of Spain.
Entre la ciudad de Alicante y su puerto deportivo existe una
magnífica integración. Alicante es una bella ciudad que mira
al mar a través de su Puerto. Situado geográficamente a 0º 30’
W de longitud y 38º 20’ N de latitud, condición estratégica que
lo distancia a tan solo una noche de travesía de los principales
Puertos Españoles del Mediterráneo.
Alicante’s port is magnificently integrated into the city. Alicante
is a beautiful city which overlooks the sea across the port. Its
geographic location, at a longitude of 0º30’ W and a latitude of
38º20’N, gives the city a strategic position and places it just a
one night crossing away from the main Spanish ports on the
Mediterranean coast.

Alicante Convention Bureau is specialised in promoting and attracting
congresses, conventions and incentive tourism. It is part of the Alicante
City Tourist Board and has 70 member companies from the local tourism
sector.

We promote Alicante as a place for holding meetings, incentives and
corporate tourism.
We take part in the whole process of the event: we create presentations,

CENTROS DE CONGRESOS
CONGRESS CENTRES
The Congress and Exhibition Centre of Alicante will be made up of
a series of buildings connected by a platform with access in the
shape of a large and open public hall. The whole complex will be
covered by a gold-coloured metallic shell. It will have large openings
through which the occupants of the centre may contemplate the
exterior views.
The Congress Centre is orientated towards the sea and the city of
Alicante, the coast and the Santa Barbara castle. The new building
will be integrated into the city with access for both pedestrians
and vehicles and will incorporate other uses, for example retail
outlets.
The different components of the new Congress Centre are
described below.
Centro de Congresos y Exposiciones de Alicante
El Centro de Congresos y Exposiciones de Alicante estará
formado por un conjunto de edificaciones conectadas por
una plataforma de accesos a modo de gran hall abierto
y público. Todo el conjunto estará cubierto por una piel
de color dorado metálico. Tendrá grandes aberturas,
permitiendo la visión del exterior de los ocupantes del
Centro.
El Centro de congresos está orientado al mar y a la ciudad de
Alicante, a la costa y al castillo de Santa Bárbara. La nueva
edificación se integra a la ciudad tanto de forma peatonal
como rodada e incorporando usos como el comercial.
Se describen a continuación las construcciones que
compondrán el nuevo Centro de Congresos.
PLATAFORMA DE ACCESO
ACCESS PLATFORM
An essential determining factor for our project is the existence
of a tram service running through the site of the Congress
Centre. Exhibitions may also be held in this large access hall,
complementing the possibilities of the multifunctional rooms.
ZONA DE PRENSA
En la primera planta se ha situado la zona de servicios que sirve al auditorio y que
incluye los aseos, la cafetería, unas salas de tipo técnico y almacenes.
CUBIERTA
Se ha pensado como un gran patio de butacas o gran salón de exposiciones al aire
libre, planteando la posibilidad de hasta duplicar la capacidad de espectadores del
interior del auditorio. Como sala de exposiciones completa la superficie expositiva
del hall de acceso.
EL NIVEL INTERMEDIO lo constituye una planta equipada con todas las dotaciones
necesarias para el funcionamiento del edificio multifunción: control de accesos
y registro, oficinas de dirección y administración, despachos y salas, áreas de
descanso y cafetería.
Un condicionante trascendental para nuestro proyecto
es la existencia de un tren-tranvía cruzando la parcela del
Centro de congresos. Este gran hall de acceso permite
también la realización de exposiciones complementando
las posibilidades de las salas multifuncionales.
RESTAURANTE, se desarrolla en dos niveles en el cenit de la piel dorada. En la

AUDITORIUM BUILDING
The auditorium will occupy the lower floor, with a capacity for 2,421
spectators. This main room of the building will have numerous
possible uses.
PRESS AREA
The first floor houses the services area of the auditorium which
includes the toilets, the cafeteria, technical rooms and storage
rooms.
ROOF
This has been designed as a large area with floor-level seating or as
a large open-air exhibition space, with the possibility of duplicating
the spectator capacity of the interior of the auditorium. As an
exhibition space it complements the exhibition area available in
the access hall.
RESTAURANT, located on two levels at the top of the golden shell.
The top floor of the platform will house the restaurant from where
you will be able to enjoy some unbeatable views with the terrace
above it, on the roof.
THE INTERMEDIATE LEVEL is made up of a floor equipped with
all the facilities necessary for the operation of this multifunctional
building; access control and registration, management and
administration offices, function rooms and offices, rest areas and
cafeteria.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL BUILDING. This will have three levels: the
first and the third will be open-plan floors with transformable
dividing walls allowing the rooms to be adapted for congresses or
exhibitions with different sizes and combinations. These are the
two multifunctional floors.

CHARACTERISTICS
The Provincial Auditorium of Alicante, with more than 28,000
square metres, will become the principle cultural centre of the
city. The building will contain a symphony hall for concerts
with a capacity for 1,500 spectators, and a dress circle and
boxes. The building will also have a hall reserved for chamber
music and a section in which congresses, talks and exhibitions
may be held. There are also plans to incorporate a musical institute in the building.
The main façade overlooks the large square which opens out
onto the Avenida de Alcoy.

RESTORATION PROJECT FOR THE PASEO DE CAMPOAMOR
A large staff similar to a 35 metre-high metallic baton will be
erected and crowned with a laser beam, as a landmark in the
city.
The car park will have a capacity of approximately 600 spaces distributed on three underground floors and will serve the
Auditorium, the Bull Ring and the neighbourhood. It will have
entrances from the streets adjacent to the Alcoy and Jijona
Avenues.

CARACTERÍSTICAS
El Auditorio Provincial de Alicante, con más de 28.000
metros cuadrados, se convertirá en el mayor centro cultural de la ciudad. El edificio contará con una sala destinada a la audición de música sinfónica con capacidad
para 1.500 espectadores, anfiteatro y palcos. El inmueble
también dispondrá de una sala reservada a música de cámara y una sección en la que se podrán realizar congresos, coloquios y exposiciones. También está previsto que
el edificio albergue un instituto musical.
La fachada principal da a la gran plaza que se abre frontalmente a la Avenida de Alcoy.
RECUPERACIÓN DEL PASEO DE CAMPOAMOR
Se instalará un gran báculo que rememore una batuta de
35 metros de altura, en metálico, coronado con un rayo
láser, como referencia del edificio en la ciudad.
El aparcamiento contará con alrededor de 600 plazas en
rotación distribuidas en tres sótanos y dará servicio al
Auditorio, a la Plaza de Toros y al barrio. Tendrá accesos
al mismo a través de las calles adyacentes a las avenidas
de Alcoy y Jijona.

* Ocho Salas de Conferencias y Exposiciones: estas dependencias disponen de
una sala de protocolo y prensa, otra de conferencias con capacidad para 240 personas, una sala de coloquios con 165 plazas, de exposiciones, así como tres de
reuniones.
* Salas anexas: guardarropía, cafetería y restaurante, administración, comité de
conciertos y otras dependencias.
· Aforo total: 2.400 localidades.

Es un moderno edificio que permite la realización de
congresos, convenciones, symposiums, reuniones,
exposiciones y otros acontecimientos.
Dispone de 11 salas con capacidades desde las 24 hasta
518 plazas de auditórium, así como tres grandes áreas
para la instalación de exposiciones de hasta 626 m2 cada
una de ellas, así como de un aula informática. Dispone de
los últimos sistemas en medios audiovisuales, traducción
simultánea, sistemas de votación electrónica, sistema
inalámbrico de internet, etc.
Dotado además de agencia de viajes, restaurante y
aparcamiento propio, se encuentra situado en una vía de

It has 11 function rooms with capacities ranging from 24 PAX
to 518 PAX in the auditorium, as well as three large areas
in each of which exhibitions of up to 626 m2 can be set up,

The Dársena restaurant was opened by Mr.
Antonio Pérez Molina “Perete” on 25th May
1961 with the name of “Náutico” which it
kept until the end of the 1960s.
In November 1997, after thirty seven years,
the Dársena had to leave its premises due
to the Special Plan for the Port of Alicante,
which required its demolition in order to
widen the pedestrian area. It relocated to the
new leisure area of the capital in the yachting
harbour of the port, where its new building

sea el establecimiento insigne en Alicante especializados
en arroces y mariscos.
A lo largo de estos años, la experiencia adquirida y
los trabajos realizados han sido de una importante
envergadura debido a los congresos realizados en dicho
palacio. Por tanto nos vamos acreditando como uno
de los restaurantes de catering, ya que algunos de los
eventos más importantes que realizamos para el Excmo.
Ayuntamiento, Exc. Diputación de Alicante, Diversas
agencias de viajes, lo realizamos en el Castillo de Santa
Bárbara (Salón Felipe II).
Its beginnings in the restaurant sector
date back to 1950 when Mr Alfredo Ros
Deltell opened his first establishment
in calle Virgen del Socorro in Alicante,
which grew over the years into one of the
most popular restaurants of the city.
In 1985, distinguished figures of the
Alicante society proposed that he take
over the running of the restaurant inside
the Conference Centre, located in Avda
de Denia, in order to revamp it and
convert it into a flagship establishment in
Alicante, specialised in rice and seafood
dishes.
Over the years, we have acquired a vast
experience and carried out countless
projects due to the many congresses held
in this centre. We have also developed a
prestigious catering service, as some of
the most important events that we have
organised for the Provincial Government
of Alicante and several travel agencies
have been held in the Santa Barbara
Castle (Salón Felipe II).

El Restaurante Jumillano nació en 1941. Situado en el
corazón de Alicante, muy cerca del mercado central,
conserva desde sus más de 60 años de historia, el
recuerdo de muchos personajes alicantinos y foráneos
que han pasado por sus comedores. En su decoración
destacan los motivos taurinos -grandes carteles murales
que anunciaban corridas de toros, cuadros y fotos añejas-,
además de una cuidada colección de pinturas adquirida
por los propietarios a lo largo de los años.
La trayectoria del Restaurante Jumillano la avalan
numerosos premios como el de Mejor Restaurante de
la Comunidad Valenciana en 1989, Premio Cámara de
Comercio de Alicante al establecimiento tradicional en
1991 y Medalla de Plata al Mérito Turístico del Patronato
de Turismo de la Costa Blanca en 1998, y su propietario
Miguel Pérez Mejías fue distinguido en el 2004 con la
Medalla al Merito al Trabajo en su categoría de Oro en
reconocimiento a su trayectoria profesional al frente del
Restaurante Jumillano.
The Restaurante Jumillano was founded in
1941. Located in the heart of Alicante, very
close to the central market, it preserves its
more than sixty years of history with the
souvenirs of many famous visitors from
Alicante and from further afield who have
eaten at its tables. Its decoration has a bull
fighting theme - large posters advertising
bull fights, old photos and pictures, - as
well as a carefully selected collection of
paintings acquired by the owners over the
years.
The Restaurante Jumillano has won
many awards over its lifetime including
the Best Restaurant in the Region of
Valencia in 1989, the Alicante Chamber of
Commerce Award to the best traditional
establishment in 1991 and the Silver
Medal of Tourism Merit awarded by the
Costa Blanca Tourist Board in 1998. Its
owner, Miguel Pérez Mejías was awarded
the Gold Medal for Commendable Work
in recognition of his professional career
running the Restaurante Jumillano.
