Our Mexican sodality, Unión Guadalupana, invites
ALL children of our parish to its celebration of Mexico’s
Day of the Child. A good time available for EVERY child!
Collection for the Church of Central & Eastern Europe
The second collection of next Sunday will be
dedicated to helping the still-recovering Churches of central
and eastern Europe. In light of the conflict in Ukraine and
the difficulties faced by our Eastern Catholic brethren in the
Crimea, along with challenges facing Roman and Eastern
Catholics in central and eastern Europe, your generosity
today would be most timely!
Let us pray for our 12 candidates for
confirmation. We look forward to the return of His Excellency, Most Rev. Josú Iriondo, D.D., Auxiliary Bishop of
New York (retired) next Sunday to confer the Holy Spirit on
our youths at the 11 a.m. Mass. May these young people
cooperate with the Holy Spirit and His gifts for their holiness
and the sanctification of the world!

Al éco de las noticias lamentables de la problemática en
Ucrania y los retos de nuestros hermanos greco-católicos
en la península de Crimea, además de las dificultades pastorales de nuestros hermanos recuperando aun hoy día del
yugo comunista, su generosidad hoy seria muy oportuna.

EXTRAORDINARY FORM

SAVE THE DATE!
In light of Pope Benedict XVI’s release of the Ancient Use of the Mass (1962 Roman Missal) for celebration
in the parishes and communities of the Church and the Pope
Emeritus’ hope that the Extraordinary Form (or Ancient Use)
would enhance the celebration of the Ordinary Form of the
Mass (the Mass that most Catholics know since 1969), our
parish will host a “Missa Cantata” (sung Mass) of the Extraordinary Form on Friday, May 20 at 7 p.m. in the
church. Rev. Fr. Sean Connolly, who offered Mass in the
Extraordinary Form last summer, will return as the celebrant
and our Parochial Administrator, Rev. Fr. Arthur F. Rojas,
will serve as homilist.
Come join us at this first anniversary of the first
Mass of the Extraordinary Form offered in decades at our
church. If you have never heard Mass in this fashion, come
and see for yourself! We hope to have a social reception
afterwards.
Bible Study in English
Our English-language Bible study group, the Saint
Jerome Society, invites you to dig into God’s written Word in
the company of your fellow parishioners. Meetings are held
on Tuesdays at 6:45 p.m. in the Rectory. Call Mr. Mike

Misa de Uso Antiguo en nuestra parroquia en decadas, brindaremos de nuevo
a nuestros feligreses parte de la historia, la belleza y la riqueza de nuestro
rito romano con la Misa de siglos en América Latina y del
mundo. Experimentemos la Misa Antigua o Extraordinaria
Cantada el 20 de mayo a las 19h. Si haya suficiente
apoyo, esperamos auspiciar en futuro una MISA DE TRES
MINISTROS (Misa Solemne).
