BAPTISM PREPARATION Baptisms at OLMC are
celebrated throughout the year at the regularly
scheduled liturgies. We are now scheduling baptisms for September. Parents are asked to attend
two Baptism Preparation sessions. Please call
Christa Blomstrom at 595-0385 ext. 119 to
register.
Children’s Faith Formation
CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD is celebrated on
the second and the fourth Sundays of the month at
the 10 am and the 4 pm liturgies. Children
ages 4yrs to 8 yrs. are invited to gather in
the Daily Mass Chapel during the liturgy to
listen to and participate in the Liturgy of
the Word in a way that is relevant to
their young lives. They return to their
family before the celebration of the
Eucharist. No registration is necessary.
Inclusive Ministries
How does Baptism relate to our mission in life? How does
Baptism give us a pattern through which we see the world: the
Mystery of Faith. How does Baptism change our identity?
Living Wet is a 6-hour (2 hours per night) prayer, presentation
and processing time designed for you. The hope is to spark a
response of “I didn’t know that” as you contemplate something
you may take for granted: Your Baptism. This retreat experience will also include prayer, ritual and song. Fr. Dan Klem,
MDiv and Debbie Stollery, M.S. will be our presenters. Please
plan to set aside this time to pray together, to reflect together
and to discover your shared identity as children of the living
God gathered together in the parish of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.
WHAT IS BREATHE?
BREATHE Special Needs Respite is a new ministry at
OLMC seeking to provide a
fun, safe, evening out for kids
with special needs! Parents will register their children in advance then, drop them off for a night of fun provided by the
BREATHE volunteers! This gives PARENTS a chance to
BREATHE by having a night out on the town!
We are looking for volunteers to serve as BUDDIES, GREETERS, PIZZA SERVERS, GAMES AND ACTIVITY LEADERS and MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS.
BREATHE will happen once a month on a Friday evening!
To Register OR To Volunteer: Call Christa at the Parish
Office or e-mail [email protected].

LAST TRIP TO THE EASTERN SHORE
Anxious? Irritable? Easily Frustrated? God promises peace
but unfortunately many Christians feel less than peaceful.
Sometimes anxiety gives us a clue that something is wrong and
needs to be fixed or worked through. Other times, it's the response to wanting absolutely certainty when in this life, we
have none. The only absolute certainty we have is that God is
with us. If you need more resources, please contact Jenn DelCorso at ext. 129
Tuesday August 10, 2010
Items Needed: Rice, Beans, Bug Spray, Sunscreen,
Personal Care items, Socks
(If you drop off on Tuesday: fresh fruits and vegetables
would be greatly appreciated)

Are you staying at home with your children
during the day? Are you interested

home parents in the parish? Contact Jen DelCorso

homes or retirement communities let me know. Our

If you are completely unfamiliar with advocacy
and/or justice and peace issues,
please feel comfortable joining us.
All are Welcome!
