NURSING HOME VISITS: If you are homebound, in a nursing home or know someone who is, and would like someone to visit and/or bring communion, please contact Jeanne Hagar at 715-2249 or the parish office. BAPTISMAL PREPARATION: It is required for parents who desire their child to be baptized. Classes are held on the 2nd Sunday of January, March, June and October at 7:00 PM in Breen Hall #3. SACRAMENT OF SICK: If someone is seriously ill or to have surgery, please call the parish office for the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick. SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE: Couples should contact the Pastor at least six months in advance. If you wish to have flowers on the Altar in memory or to honor a loved one, or to celebrate a special occasion, please call the parish office. It is not too late to register your children for Religious Education classes. Just stop by the office on the first floor in the Parish Life Center this Sunday before class. Classes meet every Sunday from 10:45 to 11:45 AM. Adult Faith Formation: Every Sunday throughout the year at 10:45 in Trinity Room. R.C.I.A. R.C.I.A meets every week on Tuesday night from 7:00 - 9:00 PM in the Trinity Room from August to May. This year session has began! This week’s topic is “The Beatitudes”, the Gospel theme is “The True Disciple” Lk 14:25-33. From The Military Support Group to all who donated, helped with set up, helped to sell, baked, cooked, cleaned and contributed in any way to make the yard sale a big success! May God bless you for your kindness and generosity to this noble cause! The Living the Eucharist Study Group will resume meeting again on Tuesday, September 6th from 9:0010:30 AM in Breen Hall #4. They will be studying the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy from the book Beautiful Mercy form Dynamic Catholic. September is fast approaching and with it we will begin our Wednesday evening “Pot Luck” suppers!! The first one will be September 7th after the 5:30 PM Mass! Bring your “pot” to share and come join us in the Trinity Room! We hope to have a K of C BBQ Butt Roast, or Deli Roasted Chicken! Our monthly Friendship Luncheons for the 50+ crowd will resume on Tuesday, September 13th at 12 Noon in the Trinity Room. This time we will be serving “pulled pork” sandwiches. Bring your favorite side or dessert and join us for delicious food, fun and fellowship! We will continue to get together every second Tuesday of the month through May of next year. Just call the office. MUSIC MINISTRY Regular Traditional Choir rehearsals will resume on Wednesday, September 14 @ 7:15 pm in the church. El Coro Santa Teresita rehearses on Tuesday and Thursday evenings @ 8:00 pm. The Ensemble rehearses after the Sunday noon Mass every week. SOCIAL ACTION Spiritual Adoption Program Please continue to pray for the baby you have spiritually adopted…. MONTH 7–Developing Baby–“I can look around!” You are in the home stretch with your spiritually adopted baby. Beginning this month the baby uses all four senses. He can see, hear, taste, touch, cough, yawn and hiccup. He now recognizes his mother’s voice, and ultrasound reveals that he likes to open his eyes and look around. During this time he will also receive antibodies from his mother protecting him from a wide variety of diseases. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion. Pantry News “For I was hungry and you gave me food” We provide groceries to those in need on a weekly basis. A big “Thank You” to all who provide non-perishable food for our pantry on an ongoing basis. Dry milk is always a much needed item; also breakfast foods and cereal, canned vegetables & fruit, canned soup, crackers, canned meats such as ham, tuna & chicken, peanut butter and jelly, and pasta with sauce are always in demand. CARE: This program helps parishioners that are in need of a meal because of sickness, a new baby, a death in the family or other unexpected situations.
