The camp’s main activity will be a project of bio-building for sustainable living through the building of a series of
infrastructures in the space called "The Territory for the Games", using traditional techniques and eco-efficient
technology for the development of activities in this place. Young volunteers will participate in a variety of activities
of socio-cultural animation and rural revival.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Main Activity:
The performances consist in conducting a series of simple infrastructures that will address the needs of the
space called “The Territory for the Games”. Are actions that will create basic elements for the
development of activities in this place:
-Construction of an oven for baking bread
-Building a shelter for workshops and activities
-Repairs of existing play grounds.
In buildings used the criteria of low impact, traditional building techniques and eco-efficient technology.

Young volunteers will gain skills in self-construction, bio-building, sustainability; they will learn stonecarving as well as other mud, lime and wood work techniques; use of local and recycled materials.
COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES - LEISURE ACTIVITIES:
On the other hand, but simultaneously, the young volunteers that sign up for this camp will participate in
diverse activities of socio-cultural animation and rural revival, collaborating with distinct municipal
associations, taking off from the possibilities offered by popular games and cultural tradition. Among others
the following activities are proposed:
- Festival of intergenerational games;
- Trade and Craft Fair
- Rural life and culture workshop
- Environmental workshop
- Intergenerational games and activities
- Experience a day with a family
- Participation in the Cultural Evenings at the Amphitheatre.
Also, to fill in free time, there will be other activities and shops of cultural, recreational, sports directed to the
group of young participants, such as:
- Day trips to Salamanca and “Las Arribes del Duero” ( portuguese border)
- Workshops of artistic expression
- Dramatization and corporal expression
- Sport activities
- Nocturnal activities of animation
- International cooking workshop.

Leaves Salamanca from Monday to Friday at 17:30 pm, No service on Saturdays and Sundays.

SPECIFIC GOALS:
PROFILE – COMMITMENT OF PARTICIPANTS:
Young people with social concerns, who want to get a better grasp of the rural world through involvement in
a community project in a small town in western Castilla. Young people interested in bio- building and the
knowledge of traditional culture for sustainable living.
INTERNAL RULES:
The participants must respect minimal rules during their stay at the work camp, as far the schedules for work,
meals and rest periods are concerned and participation in group activities as well as cooperation in group tasks
and social interaction.
