Dear Lesher Families,
We are excited to start one-to-one computer access at Lesher for our 6th and 7th graders. PSD has
purchased laptops for those grades that can be assigned for individual student use and can even be
taken home. In other words, every 6th and 7th grade student gets their own school computer for the
year. The district replaces computers for one grade-level at a time, so 8th grade will be included next
year.
With this privilege comes responsibility and training. The first of these responsibilities is for students to
have a parent/guardian watch the PSD Provided Device Effective Practices video,* review the
Online Family/Student Computer Handbook* and sign the Family & Computer Use Agreement form.
As the video advises, please have a conversation with your student about the care of this expensive
equipment and about appropriate content use for a school computer.

Students will also watch the PSD Provided Device Effective Practices video at school. In addition,
students will watch the Lesher Computer Orientation video which gives more information about
computer use policies and rules.
Please disregard the statement in the video and the form about a one-time $50 use and
maintenance fee. Lesher is in its pilot year of this program and the fee will NOT be charged to our
students.
We are excited for this opportunity and know our students will meet it responsibly and with

Familias de Lesher ,
Estamos muy emocionados de iniciar el acceso a computadoras individuales en Lesher para
nuestros alumnos de 6○. y 7○. grado . El Distrito escolar ha comprado computadoras portatiles para
los grados que pueden ser asignadas para el uso individual de los estudiantes y que incluso pueden
ser llevadas a casa. En otras palabras, cada alumno de 6○. y 7○. grado obtiene su propio equipo de
la escuela para el año. El distrito reemplaza computadoras para un grado en un momento, por lo
tanto 8o. grado se incluira el año siguiente.
Con este privilegio viene la responsabilidad y capacitación . La primera de estas responsabilidades
es que los estudiantes tienen que ver con su padre o tutor el video PSD Provided Device Effective
Practices video,*( El PSD proporciona practicas de dipositivos) y revisar el manual Familia/ estudiante
de la computadora y firmar el formulario de acuerdo de uso de familia y equipo. Por favor tener una
conversación con el alumno sobre el cuidado de este equipo costoso, y de uso adecuado para un
equipo de la escuela.
