THE UNITED NATIONS POPULATION FUND (UNFPA) Representation in Nicaragua, is seeking individual for the position of Programme Assistant Post Level: GS-5 Position No.: 00004189 Contract Type: Fixed-Term Duty Station: Managua, Nicaragua Purpose: The Programme Assistant delivers quality services in Programme, procurement, and finance to internal and external clients mastering all relevant rules, guidelines, processes and procedures. We are looking for candidates who have: • The necessary business acumen for the position • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment • A strongly client oriented attitude • Integrity, commitment and respect for diversity • Skills to manage relationships, communicate and develop people • An ability for analytical and strategic thinking and results orientation Completed Secondary Level Education required. First level university degree desirable. We expect professional with at least five years of relevant experience in project and programme management, procurement of goods and services, financial and other office management. Good working knowledge of English is required. Proficiency in current office software applications; and corporate IT systems is required.
