Assunta was born at Lombrici di Camaiore, Lucca (Italy)
on August 15, 1871. She died among the orphans on
July 01, 1948, in Vila Prudente, Brazil. Mother Assunta
is the co-founder of the Congregation of the Missionary
Sisters of St. Charles Borromeo-Scalabrinians. She
loved intensely her neighbors, especially the co-sisters
of vocation, dedicating herself with tenderness to the
care of the smallest among the orphans, the poor, the
sick and the migrants, in diverse cities of the States of
Sao Paulo and Rio Grande do Sul.

¿Cómo puedo estar realmente seguro de que soy haciendo la voluntad de Dios? ¿Cómo se supone que voy a entender la voluntad
de Dios si no tengo tiempo para centrarme en el centro de mi ser?
¿Cómo se supone que voy a entender la voluntad de Dios en medio de una fuerza social fuerte que arrastra mi atención a los
cuidados y preocupaciones del mundo? es muy difícil concentrarse cuando no hay espacio tranquilo dentro de nuestro corazón.
Es por esta razón que hay personas que no encuentran sentido a
sus vidas hasta el punto de poner fin a su existencia en medio de
la confusión.
La voluntad de Dios es nuestra dirección. Más aún, es
nuestro destino final. Nuestra respuesta a la voluntad de Dios nos
trae alegría interior y la satisfacción. Nuestro discernimiento de la
voluntad de Dios construye confianza y valor en el centro de
nuestro ser. El resultado de nuestro esfuerzo verifica nuestra actitud hacia la iniciativa de Dios, como nosotros experimentamos
paz y satisfacción interior. De hecho, es difícil discernir la voluntad de Dios en la actualidad. Necesitamos compañeros de viaje en
el viaje. Necesitamos otra persona que sería capaz de compartir
con nuestra visión y sueños. Tal vez, alguien que sería capaz de
oír por nosotros cuando no somos capaces de escuchar? O tal vez,
alguien que estaría dispuesto a caminar por nosotros cuando no
somos capaces de caminar el viaje? O tal vez, alguien que sería
capaz de ver por nosotros cada vez que el camino de la vida es
cada vez confusa y difícil de descifrar? ¿Quiénes son esas personas pueden ser? ¿Dónde podemos encontrarlos? ¿Cómo podemos conocer?
Voy a terminar mi carta aquí. Me gustaría dejar algunos
de estos pensamientos a su imaginación. Los animo a reflexionar
sobre las preguntas: ¿Estoy haciendo la voluntad de Dios? ¿Está
mi discernimiento me conduce a (un cambio de corazón) la conversión? ¿Qué significa "hacer la voluntad de Dios" hacer a mí?
Les deseo una semana bendecida. Por favor, recuerde orar por el
Sínodo de los Obispos sobre la Familia que está sucediendo en
Roma a partir de este domingo. Esperemos que el Espíritu Santo
se manifestaba la presencia de Dios de una manera más visible
como nuestros líderes de la Iglesia discernir un significado más
profundo de la vida familiar.
