Do we consume like the Pharisee who simply reclines at the table and expects to be served? Or, do we contribute like the woman who kneels before Jesus and washes His feet? Every day we must make a choice. Take or give? Consume or contribute? Recline or serve? Sat., June 11 5:30 PM 7:00 PM Sun., June. 12 9:00 AM Wed., June 15 9:30 AM Thur., June. 16 9:00 AM Sat., June. 18 5:30 PM 7:00 PM Love and sin. These two seem an odd pairing, a doubtful duo. Yet love and sin are bound together in the Bible readings today. Great love leads to forgiveness. And forgiveness leads to greater love. Look to King David who had a husband killed so he could take the wife. Look to the Apostle Paul who was drawn away from persecuting others by the love of the Son. Look to the unnamed weeping woman who bathed and anointed feet. Because of sorrow; because of forgiveness; because of great love. • Who has forgiven me? What happened next? • Who needs my forgiveness? • And how does my forgiveness mirror God’s forgiveness — of me, of others, and of all? Our Sick Need your Prayers Ali Acosta, Rita Bastress, Tom Bastress, Betty Bell, Tina Bushnog, Mary Coffman, Tam Fike, Barrett Fitzsimmons, Janet Fultz, Bonita Heckman, Tom Heckman, Katie Horn, Nancy Johnson, Susan Marher, Catherine Monfort, Dave Ross, Llonathan Saucedo, Joan Steinlage, Madeline Witzemare, Denise Watercutter, Cindy Wray and Karen Young.
