1. BÚSQUEDA DE SOCIOS PARA PROPUESTAS–6ªCONVOCATORIA
La sexta y última convocatoria de FP7-Space está previsto que abra el 10 de julio de 2012, con 126M€.
Gracias a la temprana publicación de un borrador del programa de trabajo por parte de la Comisión
Europea (enlace), y al evento internacional oficial informativo antes de la apertura oficial de la
convocatoria (20-21 de junio en Surrey –enlace-), las ideas de proyecto y los consorcios se están
empezando a mover más rápido de lo habitual.
En esta sección de la Newsletter se irán publicando las búsquedas de socio tanto nacionales como
internacionales que lleguen al CDTI (enlace formulario).
1) Instituto de Agricultura Sostenible, CSIC (España)
El Instituto de Agricultura Sostenible del CSIC está buscando un coordinador y socios interesados en
participar en una propuesta para el topic de:
SPA.2013.1.1-07: Remote sensing methods

2. EVENTOS
1) Inminente cierre del plazo de inscripción para la conferencia internacional y evento
de matchmaking de la 6ª convocatoria Espacio-VII Programa Marco, Universidad de
Surrey – 20-21/6/12
El plazo de inscripción para el evento oficial internacional informativo de la 6ª convocatoria de FP7Espacio cerrará el próximo lunes 11 de junio (se ha extendido un día). A partir del mismo lunes a
medio día se podrán realizar las solicitudes de entrevistas bilaterales.
Es muy recomendable asistir a este evento por varias razones:
Presentación de la convocatoria por la propia Comisión Europea, por primera vez antes de la
apertura oficial de la convocatoria.
Sesiones de entrevistas bilaterales para hacer contactos.
Sesiones para presentar en público ideas de proyecto.
Sesiones dedicadas a varios topics específcos (GMES Climate Change, Explotación de datos
científicos, tecnologías críticas, investigación Earth-analogue).
Sesiones prácticas sobre evaluación de propuestas (a cargo de la REA) y taller de preparación
de propuestas.
Visita técnica a las instalaciones de Surrey Satellites (SSTL).
Este evento es complementario con el organizado en CDTI el día 5 de julio (ver abajo).
2) Apertura inscripción Jornada informativa CDTI 6ª convocatoria de FP7-Espacio Madrid – 5/7/12
Desde hoy viernes se ha abierto el plazo para inscribirse en la jornada informativa del CDTI sobre la 6ª
y última convocatoria de FP7-Espacio. El registro se realiza on-line en el siguiente enlace:

Habrá dos sesiones: una común de carácter divulgativo, con turno de preguntas al final, en la que la
Comisión Europea presentará la convocatoria y el CDTI informará sobre los resultados conseguidos
hasta ahora y sobre las nuevas oportunidades en Horizon 2020 (la continuación del FP7); la segunda
sesión estará dedicada a entrevistas bilaterales con la Comisión Europea y el CDTI, para analizar
propuestas concretas de ideas de los participantes. Entre medias habrá una pausa de café para que los
participantes puedan intercambiar ideas entre ellos.

Para participar en la segunda sesión hay que rellenar y enviar un formulario antes del 26 de junio (unos
días después del día informativo oficial internacional de Surrey, para permitir madurar mejor las
propuestas tras este importante evento). El formulario está disponible junto con la agenda en el enlace
indicado arriba.
El registro quedará abierto hasta completar el aforo del salón de actos del CDTI.

3. OTROS
1) GMES Masters 2012 - Best Service Challenge
After a very successful first GMES Masters 2011, the second GMES Masters will reward the best
projects and business ideas for a GMES commercial service in seven categories and calls for proposals
until 16 September 2012 - one of the categories is the Best Service Challenge:
The GMES Masters Best Service Challenge aims at increasing the awareness of existing Earth
Monitoring Services and their benefits to European citizens. Thus, the Challenge fosters the marketing
activities of European Earth observation service providers on an international level.
The Best Service Challenge invites service providers to upload profiles of their existing services to the
GMES Masters competition website within the following main thematic areas of GMES:

Land
•
Marine Environment
•
Atmosphere
•
Emergency Management
•
Climate Change
Your profile will be openly displayed on the GMES Masters website and the winner will be chosen by
the visitors of the competition website. Submission of profiles and voting for the Best Services is
possible until 16 September 2012 via a dedicated link to the database at
www.gmes-masters.com
Please note: Applicants for the Best Service Challenge can submit their service description from 1 May
onwards. All submitted services will then be published for voting as of 1 June.
The winning service will be announced on 19 September and promoted extensively to the
international GMES community and dedicated media, incl. an article on www.esa.int/gmes.
Moreover, the winner of the Best Service Challenge will benefit from a substantial satellite data quota
made available with financial support by the European Commission. To learn more about the winners

The GMES Masters is an initiative of the European Space Agency (ESA), the Bavarian Ministry of
Economy, the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and T-Systems and is supported by the European
Union, European Space Imaging GmbH and Astrium GEO-Information Services.
2) Convocatoria para proyectos relacionados con GMES abierta por DG/ENTERPRISE
On the 13th of April the DG Enterprise and Industry published a call for proposals which extends the
European Mobile and Mobility Alliance (EMMIA) in a second phase focused on concrete and
operational activities using information from GMES, the European Earth monitoring programme, and
signal from Galileo and EGNOS, the European GNSS.
Strand 1, on innovation support, calls for the development and testing of new voucher schemes aimed
at promoting the further use of GMES and GNSS based services in mobile services industries
(supporting either providers or users). Such voucher schemes should support innovation activities of
SMEs, offering them the possibility to have flexible and non-bureaucratic innovation support “on
demand”; moreover, they should help raise the demand for GMES and GNSS based services and
stimulate entrepreneurship in this new technological field.
The deadline for submission of full proposals is the 6th of July 2012.
Strand 2 calls for demonstrators which should show how GMES and GNSS based services can be
implemented on a large scale. Regions or metropolitan areas are invited to promote innovation
support activities, the objective of which is twofold: on the one hand, they should demonstrate how
innovative mobile services based on GMES and GNSS could address in an effective manner societal
challenges; on the other hand, they should create supportive technical infrastructures and business
conditions that facilitate the take-up of innovative services based on GMES and GNSS.
The deadline for submission of the concept note is the 27th of June 2012.
