Everyone is welcome to our spiritual center. All are encouraged to worship with us and to be part of the parish community. We are nurtured spiritually to celebrate our faith journey in word and sacrament, and to share it with the community. We provide diversity and frequent prayer experiences for all cultures. How does one say good-bye? One cannot for it is very hard, but as
all good things must end one must learn to part with such. As you
step out to new horizons one can only desire the best for you. So,
from all us here in the office of St. Robert Bellarmine and those of
the parish; this is not good-bye but great wishes for your next journey.
Remember, that we try to give food items that can make a meal
for families; examples would be spaghetti (or pastas) and jars of
pasta sauce, or tuna & crackers maybe even canned meats and
beans. Think simple meals that are quick and easy to make and
maybe some snacks.
Thank you for your stewardship.

There are two important stewardship messages included
in today’s readings. The first is the idea of calling; and
the second is the objective of discipleship. These are reflected in the
title of the U. S. Bishops’ Pastoral Letter on Stewardship: Stewardship: A Disciple’s Response. Although it is symbolic in many ways,
and thus may not be completely clear to us, the first reading from 1
Kings reflects that notion of being called. How does Elijah call Elisha? He does not speak, but he throws a mantle over him. We need
to understand that this mantle, the cloak, was originally written adderet. There were three types of cloaks, but the adderet was the sign
of a prophet. God has gifted each of us, and He has called each of
us. Just as Elisha was called and given the gift of prophecy, we are
each called and given gifts. Stewardship is what we do with those
gifts. In the Gospel from Luke Jesus calls each of us to discipleship.
The call is relatively simple, just “Follow me”. It is, of course, a call
to discipleship. As the Bishops strongly implied in their stewardship
pastoral letter, stewardship is our response to that call. As followers
of Christ, we are God’s representatives. We are called to ministry
according to the gifts each of us has received. See more at:

administración, mayordomía es nuestra respuesta a esa llamada. Como seguidores de Cristo, somos representantes de Dios. Estamos

Black and Indian Mission Collection
Fact: The annual Black and Indian Mission Collection is the first national collection, authorized by the U.S. bishops in 1884.
Next Sunday, our parish will take up the annual Collection for Black and
Indian Missions. Our financial contribution helps support Catholic
American Indian communities on reservations, in rural areas and inner
cities. The collection also supports African American schools and evangelization programs, particularly in the south. With open hearts let us
unite ourselves with the love of Christ in supporting the Black and Indian Mission Collection. For more information, go to

Eskimo and Aleut communities, churches and schools are made possible by your support of the Black and Indian Missions Office. Your
contributions support missionaries here in the United States who are
working and teaching in these communities. In addition, your assistance provides opportunities for a solid Catholic education in our Indian and Black Catholic mission schools, allows the purchase of catechetical materials and bibles, and provides for the formation of lay
leadership, to name just a few ways the collection supports evangelization.
This collection is more than your monetary support; it is an opportunity to evangelize and further the missionary cause of bringing the
Gospel to our African-American and Native-American brothers and

Black and Indian Mission Collection
July 6 & 7, 2013
Estimados Hermanos y Hermanas,
Esfuerzos de evangelización entre los Afro Americanos, Indios Americanos, Esquimales y comunidades Aleut, iglesias y escuelas han sido
posibles por su apoyo a la Oficina de Misiones de Indio y Negro. Sus
contribuciones apoyan a misioneros aquí en los Estados Unidos que
están trabajando y enseñando en estas comunidades. Además, su asistencia ofrece oportunidades para una sólida formación Católica en
nuestras Escuelas de Misión de Indio y Negro Católica, permite la

Colección Misión de Negro e Indio
Hecho: El negro y el indio misión colección anual es la primera colección nacional, autorizada por los obispos de Estados Unidos en 1884.
