Gospel Meditation
Biblical wisdom is to recognize God as the true source and fulfillment of all. Things are temporary and fleeting. Have we allowed God’s word to penetrate us? Do we really rely upon God
entirely or do we trust in our own means? God asks us to rely on
him completely. What possessions, relationship or practices are
we unwilling to give up to follow Christ?
¿Qué posesiones, relaciones o prácticas no estamos dispuestos
a renunciar para seguir a Cristo?

Note From Father Ramiro:
I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all of you who joined us during the fall festival. It was my pleasure to be able to
put a smile on your face. I was extremely delighted to see so many of you together spending time and sharing laughter with your family and friends. I would like to show appreciation to members of my festival team who have sacrificed many hours to put this event
together and my special thanks to all volunteers and all ministries who have helped in realizing such a wonderful event in addition,
we are grateful to our major sponsors:
· Dr. Sammy And Lisa Lerma
· Reid Sharp and First National Bank Bastrop
· Frank Rainosek Re/MAX Bastrop
· La Hacienda and Jaliscos Restaurants and Meat Market
Every single thing done at this festival is done by a volunteer and we are so proud of this accomplishment. Thank you for all you do:
selling tickets, setting up tents, preparing the meals: BBQ & burger sponsored by KOC, Mexican food and Aguas Frescas sponsored
by the Hispanic Ministries, the delicious cakes offered by all of our parishioners, youth booths organized by Priscilla Ruiz our Youth
Minister and the others booths worked by volunteers; Sponsors for live and silence auctions and also my staff who cooperated in
working hard with the different groups. I want to thank Jeff Kirk who worked tirelessly to make this festival such a great event, Leon
McClure, Bill Szelag, Sherry Armstrong who coordinated the Auctions, Steve Venzon selling tickets every weekend and all of our
ministry groups that came together with their baskets and donations for the various booths. All the parishioners that made contributions for this festival. I am very grateful and pleased from all of you who worked hard for this festival in the midst of your busy agendas. Every year we are trying to improve and have new activities for this festival, so that we can have a wonderful time as church
family. I always give thanks to God for so many blessing he has bestowed upon us in giving us a wonderful day and to all of you who
helped make this event an opportunity to build our community in good relationships as brothers and sisters in Christ. May God bless
you today and always and I look forward to next year’s festival.
Sammy and Lisa Lerma, Reid Sharp and First National Bank Bastrop, Frank Rainosek Re-Maxx Bastrop, Restaurantes La Hacienda
y Jaliscos
