RESPONSE TO INTERVENTION (RTI)
Fountas & Pinnell’s Benchmark Assessment System and Leveled Literacy Intervention Responds to Intervention.
These two comprehensive assessment and intervention systems identify students at risk and monitor the academic
progress of all students by allowing you to:
• conduct universal screening of students
• administer diagnostic assessment that defines the problem areas in measurable terms
• collect baseline data prior to intervention, and
• prepare a plan of intervention including measures for progress monitoring
