Pocket Dreams is an initiation novel, written with an acid and corrosive style that is about childhood, adolescence and youth
of Tommaso Rossi, a shy boy born into a bourgeois family of the North of Italy. The character admires his grand-father
whose business, a furrier’s company, allows him to dream with a fantasy world in which Tommaso finds a refuge, a way to
escape from reality. Actually, the novel starts: “It started this way: I wanted to be a fox. Red, if possible. The human being
disgusted me, filled me of existential emptiness”.
During his adolescence, he is reveled as an intelligent but conflictive student. He progressively discovers relationships and
what a mediocre life means. But Tommaso feels that his learning needs an escape and decides to move. His purpose is to
get involved in life or get involved in death.

leaves his natal city and moves to Seville (Spain), full of expectations and at the ready as if he were Don
Quixote. But he only finds miserable jobs to survive.
The experience has nothing to do with what he though. His enormous ability to invent stories allows him to
write and self-publish his first novel and thus keep on dreaming. Suddenly, the worst news: his grandfather
dies.
But Tommaso must go on on his “way to glory” and decides to move to his next destination: Barcelona.

Synopsis
At the turn of the last millennium, a series of strange events led to the abandonment by the Maya people of cities and
temples along a wide stretch of land in the area of what is now the state of Chiapas in Mexico. Recent research leads us to
believe that this phenomenon had much to do with the fall of a meteorite that raised a deadly cloud of toxic gas which
affected the area and its population with radioactive emissions lasting several centuries.
The U.S. military, following the tracks of a group of grave robbers and the advice of an unscrupulous archaeologist named
Markus Sander, is determined to find the meteorite and exploit its rare radioactive qualities within its new defense program.
The members of the “Black Seed” commando have the mission of finding the meteorite with the help of huge military
means, ruthlessly eliminating all outside interference, leaving along the way the corpses of judges, doctors and witnesses.
But the U.S. military are not the only ones seeking the sanctuary.
The fate of humanity depends on the controversial legacy of the ancient Maya people being shared by all nations and not
monopolized by one of them, such is the power lying in the nuclear core of the meteorite.
The moment of truth is approaching and the future of humanity depends on a group of committed men and women of good
will. Will they be able to outmanoeuvre the powerfull American military-industrial complex?

Synopsis
Tres Gymnopedias is the title of a musical piece for piano by Erik Satie. The content of the novel is fiction but
the structure is based on his impressions about the musical piece. Listening to that piece at the same time,
would complement the reading.
The book is about the three decisive moments of three sisters. Three moments that means the search for a
way out from their vital stagnation.
Emma writes in her notebook thoughts and emotions in which she tries to describe her recent past and her
present so she can make sense of her life.
Celine suffers from a terrible apathy. She doesn’t have her own point of view, she’s trapped, muted by her
own circumstances. She has an absence of affection since childhood and she’s only able to show her lack of
love to somebody who is willing to love her back.

Synopsis
Ebro 1938 is the story of the biggest battle of the Spanish Civil War. A historical novel extremely well
documented, with a singular style and a risked pace: it is a coral narration with non-stop changes of
perspectives to focus on the different historical characters, in a way that you feel being in the trenches and
the battle field. But in this novel there is place for love, friendship and heroism born from pain and hope.
The author has achieved an intense, impressive and elegant novel, a reflection of the tragedy and the odyssey
of its characters: a network of characters of both sides involved in a terrible and bloody fight.

The author of this diary writes to enjoy the bitterness of life...his own, and that of his evil twin
daughters, his highly successful wife, and his only friend, a bitingly honest rat. But there's more:
vasectomies, tumors, tabacco (rolled), high grade alcohol and not a bit of sex but lots of dirty
dishes. Drawings by Laia Domènech illustrate a universe almost at the limit. A parody of insanity.

This is Javier Cejas's second book. The first, Gin Tonic, was published in 2008 and has become a reference for
humor and cocktails. Now with this new irreverent book written in twisted Englsih, Javier Cejas dips into an
ethnological grab-bag of popular Spanish figures and cultural refernces to point fun at Spanish culture. In the
tradition of the great Spanish humorists, this book laughs at everyone in order to laugh at itself with no
shame. Everything "typically Spanish" is portrayed with lazy drawings, smudged and erased on purpose.
Tatty and tacky, yet brilliant and wickedly funny.

Synopsis
Conversations with Axel is a long research, a chronicle of an existential fight. The main character,
suffering from a neuromuscular illness that progressively paralyzes his body, narrates his voyage
through fear, love and hope.
Using his curiosity and humor, the author worked for 6 years in a indefinible book, as it mixes
novel and testimonial aspects. He did it a pencil he barely could hold.
Conversations with Axel is not a moral book, neither is not focused on a specific audience. It
describes the fight between mind and body, the vicissitudes of the character, prisoner of his body,
engaged to find the sense of life and his place in the world.

Synopsis
The Burke, after twenty years based in Spain, are forced to come back to London. It is the year 1838. There
they rebuild their life until the couple’s little girl dies in strange circumstances.
Doctor White, a family friend, notices some marks on the girl’s neck and a considerable loss of blood. When a
second death confirms his suspicions, the doctor reveals to Wilhelm Burke’s older brother, that a vampire is
behind the murders. Together, they decide they will do their best to kill him.
Nowadays, gothic novels are very rare and Killing a vampire has fed itself into gothic classic literature.
Killing a vampire treats the myth the way it is, not the way it is currently shown. A vampire is a wicked,
bloody, and sexual being and this is the way that is depicted on Herce’s novel.
