“FOR GREATER GLORY”
"For Greater Glory," the inspiring story of how Mexican Catholics stood up courageously for their faith
against government oppression in the 1920s, is now in theaters. The film debuted in the Top 10 most-attended
movies last week, and the producers are asking that Catholics, especially, continue to spread the word about
"For Greater Glory," so that more people will go see it. Archbishop José H. Gomez said that a large box office
showing "will highlight the importance of religious freedom in our country." So please visit
www.ForGreaterGlory.com to watch the trailer and find theaters near you.

THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST
Divine Mercy Devotion at St. Linus- Wednesdays 7pm
From the diary of a young Polish nun, a special devotion began spreading
throughout the world in the 1930s. The message is nothing new, but is a
reminder of what the Church has always taught through scripture and tradition:
that God is merciful and forgiving and that we, too, must practice mercy and
forgiveness. But in the Divine Mercy devotion, the message takes on a powerful new focus, calling people to a deeper understanding that God’s love is
unlimited and available to everyone.
The message and devotion to Jesus as The Divine Mercy is based on the
writings of Saint Faustina Kowalska, a Polish nun who, in obedience to her
spiritual director, wrote a diary of about 600 pages recording the revelations
she received about God’s mercy. Even before her death in 1938, the devotion to
The Divine Mercy had begun to spread.
Everyone is invited to come spend 30 minutes every Wednesday as we pray the
Chaplet of the Divine Mercy and have exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and
Benediction. Devotion to The Divine Mercy involves a total commitment to God
as Mercy. It is a decision to trust completely in Him, to accept His mercy with
thanksgiving, and to be merciful as He is merciful.
See you on Wednesday at 7:00pm
A MASS WITH A HEALING SERVICE
DATE:
PLACE:
Monday, June 18, 2012
ST. LINUS CATHOLIC CHURCH
13915 Shoemaker Ave., Norwalk, CA 90650
TIME:
7:30 PM
Celebrant: Fr. Mike Sears
Fr. Mike Sears is the Pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Los Nietos. He has an extensive healing ministry. He was a speaker at the Medjugorje Peace Conference and at the annual SCRC Charismatic Convention.
Fr. Sears has the charismatic gift of healing. In May 19, 2003, at St. John the Baptist Church in Costa Mesa
healing mass, a skeptical non Catholic believer, diagnosed with a throat cancer attended the mass. She was
preparing for throat surgery for removal of the mass that was noticeably bulging from her neck. God’s Hly
Spirit must have touched and healed her through Fr. Sear’s ministration because the lengthy surgery revealed
no cancer cells in her throat; a concrete manifestation of God’s healing power. Come and receive the gifts of
the Holy Spirit.
