Visiting: Tepatitlán, Santa Ana de Guadalupe, San Juan de los Lagos, Cerro
del Cubilete, Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, Querétaro, Pátzcuaro,
Morelia, Sahuayo, Ocotlan.
Day 1: Guadalajara –Tepatitlán - Santa Ana de
Guadalupe - San Juan de los Lagos (76 + 56 +
29kms)
Departure from Guadalajara toward Tepatitlán.
Visit to the place where Saint Tranquilino Ubiarco
was martyred, the Shrine of the miraculous Lord of
Mercy and the parish of St. Francis of Assisi where the relics of Saint Tranquilino
and Blessed Anacleto Gonzalez Flores are located. Lunch included. Transfer to
Santa Ana de Guadalupe, where we visit the walk of the martyrs, the house where
San Toribio Romo was born, the chapel he promoted, and the new Shrine where
we will have the Eucharistic celebration. Continue to the town of Teocaltitlán where
Saint Pedro Esqueda Ramirez was martyred and where his shrine is located.
Transfer to the city of San Juan de los Lagos. Check in, dinner, and rest.
Day 2: San Juan de los Lagos - Cerro del Cubilete Guanajuato (130 + 31kms)
Breakfast. Pilgrimage to the Basilica of Our Lady of
San Juan de los Lagos and to the chapel of the Virgen
del Pocito. Continue to the hill, where we will visit the
chapel of the Immaculate, place of veneration of the
blessed martyrs San Joaquin, the priest José Trinidad Rangel, the missionary
priest Andres Sola Molist, and the layman Leonardo Pérez Larios. Later we will
climb to the chapel of the Shrine of Christ the King in the Cerro del Cubilete, where
we will appreciate its majestic image and chapel. Eucharistic celebration. Lunch
included. Transfer to the city of Guanajuato. Guided walking tour through the
colonial city, where we see the cathedral, the Juarez Theatre, the Alhóndiga
de Granadita, the alley of the kiss, the Plaza de la Paz, and other places.
Transfer to hotel, check in, dinner,
and rest.
Day 3: Guanajuato - San Miguel de Allende Queretaro (79 + 65kms)
Breakfast and departure at 09:00 am to the city of
San Miguel Allende. Guided tour through the
historic center where admire the beautiful parish
of Saint Michael the Archangel, Saint Francis
church, the church of Our Lady of Health, the
church and former convent of Jesus the
Nazarene, and other places Lunch included. Transfer to the city of Queretaro.
Guided tour of the city, where we will visit the Franciscan monastery with the
famous thorns in the form of crosses, the Cathedral, the beautiful Baroque
churches with gold finishes at Santa Clara and Santa Rosa. Eucharistic
celebration. Transfer to hotel, dinner, and rest.
Day 4: Querétaro - Pátzcuaro Morelia (242 + 55kms)
Breakfast and transfer to the town of
Pátzcuaro, to visit its ancient churches
from the sixteenth and seventeenth
century, among which are the church of
Saint Francis, of the Jesuits, and the
Sanctuary of Our Lady of Health. Lunch
included. Transfer to the city of Morelia,
guided tour of the historic center, where
we will see the cathedral, baroque
churches, and the Sanctuary of Guadalupe. Eucharistic celebration. Transfer to
hotel, dinner, and rest
Day 5: Morelia - Sahuayo - Ocotlán Guadalajara (225 + 46 + 84kms)
Breakfast and departure at 09:00 am to the
city of Sahuayo. Visit to the cemetery where
Saint Jose Sanchez del Rio was killed. We
will have a moment of prayer and will walk
from there to the parish where he was
imprisoned. We will visit a Cristero tunnel
and have the Eucharistic celebration. Lunch
included. Transfer to the city of Ocotlan, where we will visit the sanctuary
of the Lord of Mercy. Return to Guadalajara.
