All workshops are for licensed providers, their assistants, and anyone in the process of becoming a family child
care provider. Workshops and licensing orientations are held at 7000 Doe Ave., Visalia. Pre-registration is
required. Call 559-651-0185 or the toll free phone number 855-634-3193 to register. Workshops are funded by
Tulare County Child Care Resource & Referral Services and the Child Care Initiative Project. Orientations and Story
Time are for parents, providers and children. Workshops, Orientations & Story Time dates and times are subject
to change.
Todos los talleres son para los proveedores del cuidado infantil con licencia, los asistentes, y cualquier persona que
está en el proceso de obtener su licencia. Todos los talleres y orientaciones serán llevados a cabo en el complejo
de la Avenida Doe. 7000 Doe Ave., en Visalia. Se requiere del registro para todas las clases. Llame al 559-6510185 o al 855-634-3193 para registrase. Todos los talleres son financiados por los Servicios de Recursos y

questions and explain the options available. We will also explain subsidized program requirements, such as
• Understanding your certificate.
• What is a Notice of Action and what does it mean?
• Completing attendance sheets.
• Provider invoicing and reimbursement rates.
• Provider insurance requirements.
• Family fees.
There will be time set aside during the orientation for parents and providers to ask questions.

This workshop will provide useful skills to improve communication between parents and their children. Parents
will learn various ways to approach discipline issues with the child, and how to resolve potentially difficult
situations such as tantrums and power struggles.
