The working group has promoted goods Railgrup the first pilot multimodal transport of refrigerated
meat products to the countries of northern Europe, which ended Wednesday with the unloading of
the goods in Dresden (Germany) test.

Ferrocarriles de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) has detailed in a statement that the product,
consisting of frozen pork, has been transported from the site of Refrigerators Costa Brava, located
in Riudellots (Girona), to the outskirts of the city Dresden, largely using travel rail services.
Products transported through containers 'Reefer 45', specially prepared to guarantee the
autonomy and control of the cold chain all the way, belong to the company Tomàs Expediciones
SA, associated cluster Railgrup railway sector.
The proof is the work that from FGC, the Generalitat of Catalonia and the Council of Chambers, is
being made for promoting and improving modes of transport less polluting and energy­dependent
goods, such as transport rail.
The initiative is part of the actions planned by the Committee on Multimodal Services (CSM), driven
by the Catalan Government through the Department of Territory and Sustainability and the
Department of Enterprise and Knowledge.
