Parish Mission 2009: November 14th ~
19th. Next week Incarnation welcomes The
Franciscan Friars of the Renewal, the congregation
founded by Father Benedict Groeshel. The mission
will focus on the power of the Eucharist to change our
lives. Make time in your calendars; let others know
they are welcomed. Come out for some inspiration
and renewal before the craziness of the holidays.
Please make a special effort to invite someone who
has been away from, or struggling to attend, Sunday
Mass.
Commitment Sunday is next Sunday, November
15th. All parishioners and families are asked to
prayerfully consider an increase in their weekly
offering. Please drop your commitment card in the
basket or at the parish office Additional commitment
cards are available by the church doors.

the Holy Spirit works wonders in their promising lives.
Leftover Decorations. Now that Halloween is over
you may be wondering what to do with your holiday
decorations. At the church we have begun our harvest
decorating and we will gladly accept your pumpkins, corn
stalks, gourds, etc. that are still in good shape. Feel free to
drop your decorations at the Parish Office during the week.
Parish Liturgy Committee. The parish is seeking
creative people who would like to help bring together ideas
and put them together for the various times and seasons of
the Church liturgical Year as well as various Parish
Celebrations. The Liturgy Committee will address themes,
musical contributions, decorations and other aspects of our
Liturgical Celebrations. The first meeting of the Liturgy
Committee will take place this Saturday, November 14 at
10:30AM. In Our Lady’s Meeting Room and will begin
planning for Thanksgiving, Advent and Christmas. Please
contact Fr. O’Connor at the rectory (465-8534) to find out
more information.
Parish Thanksgiving Liturgy will take place on
Thursday, November 26th at 10:00AM. Let us come
together as a parish family and give thanks for God’s
bounty shared among all of us. Each family is asked to
bring one food item to be blessed and returned to your
table at home. This year each family will receive a
decorative placemat containing prayers to be offered
before the Thanksgiving meal.
Advent Sale. In preparation for Advent there will be a
special table in Msgr. Nolan Hall (lower church) during
the Gifts from Bethlehem Sale on the weekend of
November 21st and 22nd with Advent religious articles
including Advent calendars, wreaths and candles, etc. We
will have prayer books and novenas, statues and CD’s with
Catholic classic hymns which many enjoy. Some items
will make for ideal Christmas gifts. The same items will be
offered November 28th and 29th.
Gifts From Bethlehem Gift Sale will take place in
Msgr. Nolan Hall (lower church) on Saturday, November
28th following the 5:00PM Mass and on Sunday,
November 29th after all the Masses. Featuring gifts and
crafts from the Holy Land, all made from olivewood, these
items will make for unique and special Christmas gifts! All
the proceeds will support the Christian community in the
Holy Land and the preservation of the Christian presence
there.

Parish Support Program
Newsletter #2
November 7-8
How can you participate?
Many parishioners understand the need for everyone’s participation in the Parish Support Program. For
Incarnation Parish, participation means different things to different people, such as:
•
Committing to using our envelope system for your weekly donations to the parish
•
Increasing your weekly commitment to Incarnation (see the suggested amounts)
Each of us is well aware of the expenses involved in financing our own households. The same is true of our
parish, which is operating with a large deficit. We can only meet our daily expenses if we have increased
income.
Whatever you decide to commit, your gift should have some relationship to how you live and be
proportionate to your ability. We ask that you carefully read the brochure you received at home and
prayerfully consider what you will be able to commit.
Our goal is reach an increase so we can to meet our day-to-day expenses.

NEXT WEEKEND is COMMITMENT WEEKEND!
Our parish needs your help! Every increase is accepted and needed. The truth is that if everyone makes a new
commitment to the best of their financial ability, the result will be a financially stronger parish.
