8 Read the recipe and complete the sentences.
My name’s Ann and this is my grandma’s recipe for apple pie. I’ve made it myself a
few times and it’s delicious! You can make your own pie crust, but I always buy a
premade one at the store.
Ingredients: 1/3 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup of flour, 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg,
1/2 cup of ground cinnamon, a pinch of salt, 10 apples, 2 tablespoons of margarine,
pie crust.
Instructions: Heat the oven to 220 degrees. Peel and slice the apples. Mix the
sugar, flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl, and then add the apples.
Cover the base of your pie dish with crust, and pour the mixture in. Add the
margarine and cover with more crust. Put the pie in the oven and bake for 40 to 50
minutes or until the crust is brown.
