Ole Swing is a jazz manouche quartet formed by experienced musicians
with a very wide musical background. Their main influence is French gipsy
jazz which had its origins in the 1930s and known for its magic and its
exciting and fast rhythm that causes an irresistible desire to dance.
Ole Swing is formed by two guitars (solo and rhythm), violin and double
bass. Their musical structure is influenced by the Hot Club of France led by
Django Reinhardt and Stephan Grapelli. From there they started
investigating a new concept where they basically combine different music
styles with traditional jazz. Even classic Spanish tunes from the thirties are
arranged with all the ingredients of the Hot Club. The result of this fusion
is a new, vivid and dynamic music style that spreads the power of Swing
followed by the urge and intensity of contemporary tendencies.
In the past the band members have been performing and touring with great
and renowned artists like:Sara Baras, Tomatito, Jorge Pardo, Diego El
Cigala, Paul Stocker, Joaquín Cortés, Antonio Serrano, Jerry González,
Rafael Amargo, Eva Duran, Stephen Francovitch, La Cabra Mecánica,
Celofunk, Sweet Vandals, Tito Alcedo, Nono García…
