Listening to the Real God
If you read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, it’s abundantly clear that
we were created to do___ life______ with God______, in a loving
relationship with God and others.
• 2000 BC – Abraham & Sarah were friends of God
• 1500 BC – Moses declares: “Love God with all your heart, soul,
mind and strength.”
• 500 BC – Through Jeremiah God said He wanted them to be His
spiritual children and have them call Him Father.
(Jeremiah 3:19)
• 30 AD – God demonstrated His great love by giving His Son to
pay for our sins (John 3:16)
• Revelation 21 – God’s dwelling is with humans and He will live
with them, forever

God doesn’t want us to wait for eternity________ to live in
relationship with Him: He wants it to begin NOW______!
Understanding Ourselves

Romans 7:14-24 NLT
o As long as we are alive________, we will not be able to
handle or control________ our sin nature
o There will always be a struggle_________ within us to
control the moments________ of our life
o Our favorite sins_______ (“that sin which so readily [deftly
and cleverly] clings to and entangles us” Heb. 12:1 Amplified)

surrender control to it.
