Grammar for unit 6:
# 1: How to use the verb gustar (Review from unit 5)
How to say someone likes or does not like to do something(verb)
Me gusta + infinitivo … = I like to (any verb you want).
No me gusta + infinitivo … = I don’t like to (any verb).
EXAMPLES: Me gusta estudiar español.
Me gusta bailar con chicas bonitas.
No me gusta nadar. I don’t like to swim.
How to say someone likes or does not like something (noun)
The indefinate article “the” must come before the noun that you like or do not like, even if you
do not say “the” in the sentence when translated into English. You use gusta for singular nouns,
and gustan for plural nouns. Follow the chart below:

pronoun. Some English pronouns are I, you, he, she, we, they.
In Spanish, to say who is doing something, you can use either the person’s name, title or a

In Spanish, the pronoun is not required except to clarify or emphasize. The ending on the verb

All of the verbs in this unit end with ar. This is the infinitive form of the verb.
Examples: bailar (to dance), cantar (to sing), pintar (to paint).
