Catholic Campaign for Human Development Collection
November 19th - 20th
CCHD is the domestic anti-poverty program of the U.S. Catholic
Bishops which works to address the root causes of poverty in the
U.S. through promotion and support of community controlled, self-help
organizations by helping the poor to participate in the decisions and
actions that affect their lives, CCHD offers a hand up, not a hand out,
helping people and communities overcome injustice, escape poverty,
and build bridges of solidarity. Envelopes for this special cause can
be found in the pews. Thank you for your generosity.
Attention Lectors
The new 2017 Lectors Workbook is ready for you to pick
up in the Sacristy. One copy per lector is available.
La Purisima parishioners are being asked to donate and prepare
two turkeys for the Thanksgiving meal served at our parish hall
November 24th. The turkeys must be fully cooked and delivered to the parish hall by 10 am.
If you would like to provide one turkey (or both), please contact the event coordinator, Doreen Ross, at 735-8711 or 7170242 (cell).
SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL
The members of the SVDP La Purisima Conference, would like to
thank everyone for the continuous support. Last year 2015, we were
able to assist almost 300 people. For a total of $30,541.00. With
your generous donations we helped with clothing, food, rent and utilities. Keeping families clothed, warm, fed, and housed, is a gift from all
who have donated. We thank you in advance for donating to this wonderful Ministry. God Bless! We are now going to begin our Toy drive
for our Christmas H.O.P.E. (Helping Other s Pr ovide Enough)
store. Last year we had 97 families, and over 250 children, that received 3 toys each. It was such a success. The par ents wer e allowed
to select 3 gifts per child and wrap them before leaving. These gifts are
at NO COST to the parents. If you wish to donate a gift, you may deliver them to the Pastoral Office, or to the pre-school.

Devotion to the Divine Mercy involves a total commitment to
