Summer is just around the corner so that means VBS is approaching and
registration has begun!. VBS is the week of June 20 to 24, from 9:30 AM to
Noon. Forms are available in the Narthex, online, PSR office, or Parish Office. There is a dropbox in the Narthex to return completed forms.
We are still in need to fill various volunteer opportunities for the week.
Positions include teachers, aides, craft helpers, refreshment helpers, music
helpers and storytelling helpers, and are in CRITICAL NEED of a nursery coordinator and helpers. Please contact
Kathy Christianson at [email protected] or 770.422.5633 x52 for more information on how you can
become a part of the VBS team!
Thanks to all of the PSR families that participated in Operation Rice Bowl during Lent this year! It is our pleasure to
report that we collected $2,680.09! Catholic Relief Services will use this donation to provide assistant to our needy
brothers and sisters worldwide. Please keep CRS in your prayers. If you would like more information or updates on
how the rice bowl money is used, please visit www.crsricebowl.org.
The monthly gathering of the Lectio Divina
Prayer Group is this Wednesday, May 20. Lectio
Divina is a 'divine reading' of Scripture that
helps us discover how God is speaking to our
hearts. No experience is necessary to begin this
form of meditative prayer, only an open heart.
Please join us promptly at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Peace. You may contact Deacon Norm at
(678)594-6597 for more information.
We are in need of donations of
NEW items of clothing, blankets, booties, caps, sleepers, etc., for our program. All items are distributed to families in need within our community. If you have any questions, please contact Rosemary Buckley at 770.427.2509.
Saint Joseph Parish will once again
have a bus available for parishioners
who would like a ride to the Congress.
Please contact Greg White
678.787.4930 for more information.
The Layette Ministry at Saint Joseph wants to thank the
parishioners for their generous donations to our ministry
that benefits the needy families at Kennestone Hospital. We
are in need of boys and girls sleepers and bibs. Thank you
and God Bless!
Please pray for
Peter Kaman Ndaraya and Susan Wansiku Kanyuira
who are to be married in Nairobi, Kenya on
June 11, 2016.

One miracle of Pentecost was that, despite their
diversity, each listener heard God’s word in
his or her own language. The meaning for stewardship
is that, by sharing the gifts poured out on us by the Holy
Spirit, we will be empowered to meet the needs of our brothers
and sisters, whatever they may be.

Saint Joseph Habitat for Humanity
Saint Joseph parish is part of the Catholic Coalition that has supported Habitat for Humanity for over 16 years. Over the years, volunteers
from the Catholic Coalition have even traveled to different countries
to work on different projects and build homes for those in need. Saint
Joseph volunteers have always done their part both financially and by
volunteering to build. Thank you for your generosity.
The flowers on the altar today
are in thanksgiving from APOSJ
(African Parishioners of Saint Joseph)
The flowers under the crucifix last weekend were in honor
of daughters Christie, Becky, and Emily,
requested by Cecilia Nally
The flowers next to the Blessed Mother last
weekend were in loving memory of Mary Osborne,
mother of Cecilia Nally
